  • Cool stuff

  • I have about 60 throwing knife sized holes should I still do the same thing

  • for home reno information

  • im going to see if i find any of this stuff im my garage. Before my parents come home.

  • Nice video, it looks like an easy fix. I was running a tv cable line in to my room and mangled the inside.

To you folks who punched holes in the wall, I use to do this years ago when I was younger. It's all good and stress relieving until you hit the stud by mistake. Now I can't make a complete fist with my right hand due to broken knuckles. ;)

  • I tackled my wall. And now I need to cover it up.

  • or you simply put up a poster :p

  • i put 3 holes in my drywall my parents know about all 3...

  • I punched the wall so I'm just going to bruise my elbow and tell my parents I tripped

  • thumbs up you also came here after punching a hole in your wall.

  • @casetopia I did that but also threw brother in the wall :(

  • @casetopia well... my dad drove our car into our garage door.... so technically, yes

  • Hi, this is pretty great

  • can this work on any wooden doors with dents or damage on it?

  • lol the hole is too small!! no help wat so ever. i accidently punched the wall in anger and frustration, which is located 5cms above my bed. i was like awwwww fuuuuuckkkk!!

  • @EdwardRichardson007 hahaha i did the same thing!!!! I was so angry and punched the wall... Do you know how to fix it?

  • 0:00

  • why you out of breathe or is it cause you are camerea shy.

  • thats not the size of my fist...fuck

  • Great tips. I'll be starting a home remodeling / repairs channel here soon.

  • Well i cant get any of that.......i guess im SCREWED

  • @ChiligansChilli same here

  • Wow.. this is really going to help me out, you the bomb! Punched a hole in my bedroom door out of anger... my reaction was like ''OH... NO.. FUCK!''

  • @monyetbesar same thing happend to me

  • ok fuck this my hole is going through the other side it to the other room and it is 3" x 3" yes it is a bullet hole it ripped the board and made the hole 3 inches though the bullet is 1.5 cm wide so fuck it made a impact and how should i repair that is there a fiberglass tape that wide ?

  • does this work because i live in a rental home and i put a hole in the wall and if i dont fix it im fucked.

  • it looks hard!

  • what if the hole is bigger than a basket ball D: do u just over lap tape?

  • @YouSirAreDom You need to cut to a square hole and then cut a new piece of drywall to the size of the hole, screw that new piece down and then tape each seam. You can use drywall tape, does not have to be the adhesive tape.

  • nice.

Always JKS Exteriors - nj gutter cleaning

  • Awesome advice, he seems exhausted doing this though

  • Expertvillage has 138,793 videos and this is the only one thats usefull

  • snabb måleri i västerås i youtube.com

  • f5 to skip advertisement

    thumbs up!

  • what do you do if you have deep cracks in the drywall? I bought an old house and the previous owner had installed wall shelves and it looks like the items on the shelves were too heavy that it made the wall crack in different places.

  • Very informative video. It helped alot!

  • fiberglass mesh is made for plaster. idiot

  • my observation regarding drywall repair (as one who has reluctantly done a pretty good bit of it) is that the thinner the mud, the potentially easier the job. thick mud right out of the bucket makes a nasty, hard to work, mess.

  • i just put a 7.5 inch by 3 inch hole in the wall..not really a round hole but i can just fit my iphone in there. is this size fixable or too big? i dun want to cut anything like on all the other vids. pleaase help.

  • for anyone whos handy, is there any way to patch a tiny hole (approx 1/4") in my wall with some sort of putty or something without having to replace an entire square around it? i misplaced an anchor for hanging a frame and need to move it over a bit.

  • I have a 3 inch hole in my wall, will this be any good?

  • Thanks for the great video. This is a certainly a home repair that many homeowners can do themselves.

  • I think he is a professional jerk off that knows nothing about drywall!

  • Thanks for the effort in posting this to help others selflessly.

  • sorry but this guy knows jackshit about drywall

  • Just so anyone will know, don't use mesh tape it is shit and hard to finish, just use the paper tape and it's much easier

  • too much work for such a small hole it would have been better to get a wider blade to go over it again u wouldnt have to sand

  • def a two coater. the first coat is gonna sink when it dries,

  • much appreciated. thank you.

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • Thanks Tom Hanks!

  • alright please help im 16 and punched my wall in my bedroom out and my parents dont know i did this about 3 months ago the whole is about the same size as an average size wall clock not round at all but the whole is too large to put just dry wall "pre made" repair to it.... i dont know what to do the hole is behind my dresser and where moving soon someone please help me!!!!

  • Same here. I kicked my cousin into the wall for the first one. I drove my foot through the 2nd one and my brothers knee went in the 3rd one lol.

  • you gotta shove somehting in the hole til its full enough to mud over.. i used balled up newspaper before. Just kept shoving it in until iwas tight and close to the surface enough to put the mud over. It comes out bettter then tape. Dont put too much paper that it pushes out..it shoudl be close to the back of the drywall edge and pushed in tight. Either that or learn to be honest to your parents or try to pretend you dont know how it got there lol :\

  • rotfl its not tht ,i can clog the hole its deep deep it goes like 3 feet down.... :/ and its a huge hole lol i dont think newspaper would help..... lol theres no wood in the hole either makes it harder can u fit the whole with thick carboard

then put the wall stuff on top? lol worlds worst handy man :/ ty for your help ...

  • what he's doing is right also. it works fine trust me. what are the chances of someone damaging the same spot again!

  • @Bl00dSh0T7100 make 20 more holes by punching :P

  • @Bl00dSh0T7100 There are a couple of options. If you have a utility knife cut the hole so that it's square, about 200mm or 8 inches. You might have to put a small length of 100 x 50 (4" x 2") into the hole. You will have to screw the timber to the wall once you have it in place. The next step is to somehow find an offcut of drywall and cut it to the same dimensions, perhaps slightly smaller than the hole in the wall. Screw the drywall to the timber that you have inserted into the origional hole.

  • @Bl00dSh0T7100 At the age of 16 it might not be easy to find all of the gear that you need to plaster the wall. However, I have come across many videos and tutorials on youtube. Good Luck

  • This method isn't durable. A push on that area and pressure cracks will form. For no bumps, screw in some spare drywall behind the hole inside the wall. Then apply a nice thick coat of 45 basecoat until it is level with the rest of the wall. Make sure the basecoat is not too runny, almost like putty or thick mud. Apply to the hole. The spare piece of drywall will hold the basecoat in place. Use a final skim of topcoat and sand smooth.

  • I like your method better, thank you.

  • I love this video, thanks now I can fix that hole that's in the dry-wall next to my bed lol

  • thanks, home depot tried to sell me 3 small screen covers at $15 a pack. Spent the same on the tape and have enough left over for 50 more holes.

  • thanks for the video :P

  • Good, free advice and exactly what I used to fix a wall.

  • Comment removed

  • lol i just put some sticky tape over the hole then painted it looks pretty good

  • Wow! Thank you so much. I couldnt figure out the pully part for nothin! lol Now my dryer is fixed. THANK YOU!

  • Oh wow, you won't believe how much work you saved me, as I need to repair a few small squirrel-created holes in my ceiling - I think I love you!

  • and paint it...

  • thanks for the info!!

  • i wonder if i can stick my dick in that hole?

  • i actually laughed when i read this

  • just use filler

  • mesh tape is made for hot mixes(plaster)or morter, might work but moisture works from bolth sides of a wall, use paper tape if using joint compound will last longer......good post tho.

  • if the hole is bigger, buy a patch, you can get one at home depot : ]..

    happy 4th of july..

  • What if the hole in the wall is much bigger?

  • They also sell mesh wire that's much more durable made for this. It works great.

  • pretty smooth and creative cover up, but not very durable.

  • hey thanks my dad has no idea i put a hole in his wall

  • what if the hole goes all the way through the wall

  • remember 1/2" for walls 5/8 for ceilings

  • man i hav a big hole now i hav to find my studs and buy some new drywall but lowes and home depot hafe to pre order it wtf? That cant be right can't they get a piece and cut it down to size for me

  • Usually you end up buying a pretty big sheet and just cutting out what you need and throwing the rest in the garage for next time.

  • thank you

  • I work at different Home Improvement store and we only sell 4x8, 4x9, 4x10, 4x12, 4x14, and 4x16 sheets. we do sell some half size sheets that we have cut down for purposes like that at bargain prices. But the reason companies don't cut down sheetrock and alot of other material is so that the customer won't come back to the store blaming them for a bad cut. It's just a basic business move trying to protect themself from obnoxious liabilities.

  • Visit a construction site of a new home and ask if they have a piece of scrap... or wait until they're doing the walls and stop and visit. You're bound to have a friend in construction... they can help!

  • they can only order a 4' x 8' sheet then cut it for you, but some Menards stores will sell "scrap" pieces, not sure about Depo or Lowes

  • tape is not gonna work, use paster

  • very nice, thank you very much.

  • i put a crack in the drywall just now. Not so much as a hole but like a crescent shaped crack. Fix the same way?

  • waht if the hole is GIANT?

  • whats that puddy material hes putting on the wall?

  • Can you use mesh tape on larger holes?

  • depend son the size of whole if its close to 13" I'd just say cut out to the studs and put on a piece of board to fill the gap. But I've covered holes of about 7 to 12" with standard drywall tape and mud. it just may take more then 2 coats. the proper method to any taping is actually 3 coats.

  • I mean yes..!

    :)

But there is something in my life I can do as a pro and get paid.

So I if you need to fix something a cool site would be I mean yes..!

  • Yes this was very helpful if you want to do it the ancient way (1910).... Their are newer ways no a days..can we see how to do it in 2007-08

  • I been use it! Very easy and nice...However, which Brands is the bestest.

  • This guy doesn't have a CLUE what he is doing.

  • put a picture over it lol

  • i'm not even a drywalller but i know not to patch a whole with the compound that comes in the bucket.and if you read those mesh tape labels they are not to be used with anything BUT those fast setting compounds.U must be a union drywaller-you suck for a 15 year veteran,i hope you are sitting home unemployed cuz you suck so bad.I would never hire a moron like you

  • lol u guys commenting on this r funny, cut more dw out? dont use mud straight from the bucket?,HOT MUD/,ffs,a small hole like that, thers nothing better than mesh tape,ya sure use durabond if ya want to dry it faster, but take it from someone whos been a finisher for 15 yrs,hes right on!

  • bloody D. I. Y.

  • Unfortunately I gotta agree with rodolfo2107, the precedures being shown are very inaccurate, and are simply incorrect. These processes are actually making it more difficult than it is. I noticed in a few of the vides that he is not even using the correct products. Although I applaud his efforts, this stuff is like taking medical advice from somebody that just reads alot of medical books ,RATHER THAN AN ACTUAL DOCTOR....lol.

  • Is not the best way, is going to take 2 days to dry.

  • leave the mudding to the experts man!!!

  • far better to replace section of board and then patch with mud tidier job

  • Do not do what he is doing. Fill hole first, let dry, knock down high spots w/ sander of choice. Then use fiber tape with only hot mud! No taping compound. And yes, do not mud out of the box or bucket. Spin it up.... F-ING retatd!

  • very good

  • How not to fix a hole in the wall!

  • DUDEEEE how to mud without a hawk?? Never ever mud anything from the bucket!!!

  • This guy is incompetent.
