A wolf, for example, can not be domesticated, no matter how many people think their dog is a wolf. Go ask any Vet about it. Or try training a bobcat to live in your home. That's false. Only some dogs can live well with cats. For example, my dog can not. She will eat them - she's tried. And believe me, this dog is well trained and socialized, in many a class and setting. She just sees them as food, per instincts. Other dogs, not so much. Conditioning does not OVERRIDE instincts. By definition, that is impossible. And Behaviorists know better than to try to train away instincts. Can you modify them? Sure. To an extent. But there is always a limit.
