My Mum's bosses at work look like Dastardly and Muttley. According to her boyfriend, once a pigeon really did get into the factory and they both tried catching it with a net! Everyone started singing Catch The Pigeon then!

In the 70's there was a short lived cereal with an aviator theme. There were 2 flavors, each one supported by rival flying aces. For some reason... I always equated it with this show!

The idea was to "stop" the pigeon from delivering the mail ( in that little bag ) by any means possible, though i would have put a sizeable amount of dosh on this that it was "catch" the pigeon. Who was the voice behind dastardly, it sounds like John Pertwee.

It WAS catch the pigeon but because of its age things needed to be changed because parents are fucking retarded, so it was catch he pigeon catch it kill it or something... its kinda like tom and jerry not being able to smoke cigars :D well we live in some idiotic times :p

It seems there was an episode in a different HB cartoon where, if I remember correctly, someone was tied up and forced to watch a 'Catch that pigeon' cartoon over and over... That's all I can recall.

Stop the pigeon was this shows original working title but the two original characters (not being dastardly and muttley) weren't getting any good reception so hanna-barbara used dastardly and muttley. i just thought that was interesting
