I think the song itself is about Las Vegas Nevada, with the MGM "Gold Lion" Hotel being across from the Luxor where the big light is on top of the pyramid, hense "Gold Lion gonna tell me where the light is".. Then "take our hands out of control" could be the force of gambling in Vegas, you're not necessarily in control when you start winning and losing in those casinos.
