  • Thank you for your message about double dapples. I got a double dapple dog from a pet store. THEN I did the research I should have done first. Dapple, Harlequin, Merle and other blue eyed or white patterns should NOT be purchased. You are supporting a Russian Roulette of sorts that causes handicap dogs. Only adopt - do not support with your money.

  • I think you need to rephrase you statement about the video. I have a piebald red doxie and pies usually have lots of white.

  • @faeirydancer Nope sorry, that's not a pie doxie. It's a double dapple, you can tell by his eyes. When you mate a dapple to another dapple the puppies run the risk of being born with a lot of white and being blind and deaf. In some cases they can be born with no eyes at all, I've even heard of one being born without an ear. Safest way to get a 'white' doxie is to breed two pies together, they don't have the same problems the double dapples do.

  • sadly people still breed two dapples together. ringo is a very beautiful boy.
