Glad you listened to your hearth. Ups and downs will always be there, no matter what we do. So at least we enjoy the journey. Even though following what we really want to/feel like we need to, do may look or be harder, it will be more rewarding in both negative (so we learn) and positive ways (personal accomplishments and hopefully some good for the society). People that think that work has to really be awful have just given up and are sucked into that belief structure. If you are passionate about what you are doing (as you know!) work is a heck of a lot better. I know how you feel. I finally decided to leave film school and choose a new major. The editing was fun and I was really good at everything but I was miserable and I knew that the film lifestyle would make me miserable

I am back at community college to learn about preschool teaching. I love to tell stories and make people happy, plus I have a natural charisma with kids. I think this path will hold more happiness for me.
