  • Are the buggy's 4wd?

  • ughhh. no.

none are. that'd be kinda weird. some trucks are though.

  • This, and the VAST majority are not. However a few years ago a guy ran a class 1 buggy (not a truggy witch is a truck without a body) that did have 4wd or really AWD. his name was Nick Baldwin and he ran for Rivera Racing.

  • nick baldwin started baldwin racing right or am i thinking of some one else

  • No Nick just runs with Rivera Racing, there are to TT teams that are Baldwin racing.. One is Jim, Josh and the late Jason Baldwin (R.I.P.) and the other in Bobby and BJ Baldwin

  • yes what happened to jason was the worst thing to happen to this sport. ive met him once he was a great guy and a great racer

  • Imagine the back ache you'd have after that race. Ppl who drives these things must have genetic malfunctions that allowed them to grow skeletons of titanium.

  • look up "Baja 1000"

    ;)

  • how fast does that beast go down the striate??? the suspension need a tweek so that u can go faster over the larger bumps!

  • the suspension is set up very well. it has 24" of front wheel travel and 23" in the rear. the motor is a Honda 4-cyl. i think it tops out around 120 or so.

  • kool! theres a buggy in australia that would run over the bumps at 17-20 sec with out having to slow down, but he has a v8 insted of the 4 cyl.

  • yea this buggy is a Class 10 which has unlimited suspension but must have a limited motor. those bumps are man made and HUGE. they are ment to totally throw off the car. but you have to notice how stable the camera is during the video. is a solid fixed camera so even tho you can see the front wheel working overtime, the camera stays very stable. thats how you can tell the suspension is doing its job very well.

  • @elunatic is it the engine capacity or power that's limited?

  • @nemilostivu its the size of the engine that is limited. the limit was based on if it was a single or 2 seater, how many valves per cylinder, water or air cooled, carb or FI, ect. im PRETTY sure Higman ran a Honda so the engine could not exceed 1750cc (1.7 liters) and had to have stock FI. the rules might not be exactly that but the would have been close enough to give you an idea of what he was running.

  • Thanks for letting me ride along!!! Great post!!!

  • man ou have to tell me how you get into this desert racing its awsome. whered you start?

  • i just got onto a team and went from there. the video isnt my car or my team i just reposed it (just so u know). find out when the races are and go out. many teams are happy to have an extra set of hands

  • Kick ass video. Looks like the track needs work. Hope its better this year

  • that was fuckin cool bro

  • you are super coz you posted a very great video ever and i was looking for it.thanks alot, god bless you.
