@thedanielalan1 No he did not shoot anyone. There was no proof of people with bullet holes. When they picked up the dead bodies of the passengers that lost their lives.... Murdoch was a respectful sailor in his home town too.. As for James Cameron. Movies can be misleading.. He also disrespect the poor man and his family... No please leave me alone.
It's been 99 years all right. Titanic is taking over what is left of me, I'll be gone before Titanic does. I guess, she found a worthy body for her spirit to live on.
99 Years ago tonight Titanic sank with the loss of 1500 lives. a very well put together video remembering all those who perished on that terrible night all them years ago.
This movie was one of the best ever made, in my opinion. James Cameron did a great job. The acting was amazing and the special effects...no words can describe those. A good movie pulls you in and makes you believe that you're there when Titanic was happening.
Adn that's exactly what did for me and many others who love this movie.
As a person who lost not 1 but 2 relatives on the Titanic i feel the song is very fitting and thank you for making it. Moutselos87 your going by the movie and not by history 5 minutes may not even have been enough time to even miss it. If you really want to know what happened read the book the titanic disaster hearings by tom kuntz it has first hand accounts. What they should have done was hit it head on and all stop they would have had atleast 4 hours or more to survive
great movie if only for the special effects. Shame that so many Titanic stories follow the myth about Ismay and make him out to be a villian. In fact he was just as good or bad as any other except he had an arguement with JP Morgan some time before so Morgan made hom out to be a coward and bad guy in his papers just to get even. Maybe one day a true account of the tragedy will be filmed.
a very nice and respectful tribute to the titanic incident, who is my top favorite incident of all time, its just so mysterious and tragic, and to put this beautiful song to it is just genious, its truly one of the strongest ballads of all time in my opinion and fits perfectly to this movie and the original event.
@7thSeekers i know, when i first watched the movie something pulled me in idk what i never payed any attention to jack and rose, just the ship and crew.
fuck what a wonderfull song, kicks "my heart will go on"s ass, this should have bin the single-song for the movie... PERIOD! much stronger, makes me drop a tear everytime i hear it
Good film, good video, great message. Yes they are just actors and actresses but you have to admit it, they did a pretty good job of portraying this and james cameron was an amazing director. Its not even about the death of jack that made me cry the most, its when the couple are lying together in their bed and when the mother is getting her children to sleep. People need to realise that this actually happened. The ship did sink. Half the passengers didn't survive.
I've never cared much for Jack and Rose, that is after all just a story intended to bring a wider audience in, and personally I adore the ship and the true story, particularly her designer Thomas Andrews. That's the part that makes me cry, when you see him in the film giving up hope and just standing next to the fire putting the clock right, because if you have learnt about him you'll know that he was truly a perfectionist. The couple in the bed were based on -c-
-c- real people too, Ida and Isador Strauss. Isador Strauss founded the Macy's coorperation. He couldn't get on a lifeboat and after being married to him for so long, his wife Ida stayed with him to go down with the ship.
@MaddestJak The people I'm paying tribute to are the real heroes on the ship; I might be using the film but unfortunately there isn't access to real footage of any of them, and the movie is dramatic in itself. In fact, I hate the Jack&Rose story in the film, but love the accuracy; the directors put so much effort into researching the actual story and made several trips to the wreck before filming.
@7thSeekers. Ignore people who hate on your video, its very nice. I've played a few times. Some people just can't see things from another persons point of view, but luckily most people can read between the lines.
If Thomas Andrews were to hear that Mcdonald's Talk trash about his ship & her biggest fan, he'll have a fit. After all, Titanic is the most famous ship of all time
exlent song. in preportion it was the crew who realy sufferd on the Titanic. btw any one elce notice that when they sight the iceburg they shout hard a starbord (right) but turn to port (left) maby thats why she hit it. lol
Yes, it's so sad that Elba was only 2 hen her father died, so she would never really know her father :(
William Murdoch was a brilliant hero, but his death was depicted inccorectly in the 1997 film, which was quite annoying; he would never had shot himself :/ Mr Wilde would be the most likely Officer to commit suicide as in 1910 he lost his whole family.
Just going to be picky, yes you're right, if there was an Officer suicide, it was most likely to be CO Wilde, but he had only lost his wife and their twin baby sons in December 1910, not his whole family, he had four children at home in Liverpool when he died.
That's OK! Lol! Not a lot of people do look into Wilde because he was drafted in at the last minute which caused the officer reshuffle, I am pne exception though. Lol, I do write an awful lot of fanfictions based around the Titanics deck crew though, so I guess I have to research. Lol, glad I was able to help.
Surprisingly, I only found out about Nightwish and this song a few days ago when I was reading up the ship SS America (unofficial sister ship to the SS United States). The ship has a sad story and a fellow made a tribute video to the ship using this song. I figured it would be a perfect song for a Titanic tribute video as I actually would have preferred this song to Celine's in the movie. However, many have already beaten me to the punch! The song's video has over 7 mil hits here on YT.
I first found out about Nightwish when I was searching for YT videos of the Britannic. One of the tribute videos had the song "Sleeping Sun" in it. Since then, I have explored much of Nightwish's other songs and really love Tarja's voice!!
Also, I have been fascinated with the events of the Titanic, Lusitania, and Britannic since childhood......
Cool! Looks like we kind of came down the same road. Nightwish is great and right off the bat there were 4 songs I liked from them...that was enough to buy the "Greatest Hits" album from them. I guess many realize that "Sleeping Sun" is very fitting for all sad stories in connection with the ladies of the sea. The demise of the SS America (American Star) is particularly upsetting because you really see the ship deteriorate over time. The same is happening to Titanic, but much slower.
rest all thee souls lost on thee faithfull night

"Hard to starboard" is the same as port :) After in the movie, they shout "Hard to port" so the ship turns to starboard.
