@boonexy it sounds like he has his Binson Echoric 2 and slight distortion running but I may be wrong.

@SamByrd75 im pretty sure he hasn't used binson's for a long while, but that's beside the point, there may be some drive on the guitar but you can hear phase sections while he does his rhythm picking. (you can hear a slight: "wah woh wicka wicka wah woh wika wika", or the sections of a phase.)

@bryonathon Yeah, it's not a Floyd album, I just expected to like the album itself, as much as I liked this clip. Gilmour's notes seemed to be the more "up-front", for this video, while Gilmour was sort of put on the back burner on the actual album. I'm hoping Gilmour squeezes out another album of his own soon. It just works out better, IMO.

@TheFloydian1 True ... there are definite Gilmour saturated moments throughout the album, though. I've been an Orb fan for years and a Floyd fan since I was very young. These are two of my favorite artists collaborating, here. It's like a psychedelic sandwich!!! Nom nom ....

How is it that I like this video more than the whole album? The album is a bit too techno for my tastes. I heard none of this on the album. I heard the slide guitar, but none of the notes on this. I think Gilmour had something different in mind when helping with this.

@TheFloydian1 Definitely a premix in this vid. Was expecting more from the album, too ... but the Orb have always leant towards the trance-state and allow the bass to do what it does. Gilmour was a little more than filler, here. After all, it's NOT a Pink Floyd album. Waters was touring at the time, for whatevere's sake!!!

Don,t think david is using the original blackstrat here.Check out behind the bridge its really new,the blackstrat was filled in here. i think you can spot a custom shop sticker by the tuners aswell. Great guitar/player,nonetheless,just an observation.

Pink Floyd and Killing Joke are my two favorite bands so I thought it was pretty cool to see Gilmour and Youth there together. At 1:08 Youth is playing bass thinking "Holy shit, I'm jammin' with Gilmour!" while Dave's thinking "Holy shit, you're just as bad as Roger." : )

Yet another link between Floyd music and the rest of the musical universe. Any serious fan know that these things happen. Floyd were experimental musicians, with no graduation as we understand it, but lots of musical training. Half of their catalogue is considered experimental and transitional albums. Some tracks sound as ambient and trance, musical tapestries with no lyrics, vocal abilities. They have done things like this before. If only we could listen to their abandoned Household Objects.
