  • great to see indian head again was there 3 years ago fairplay for towing through the sand, we were on one of the island tour buses it got bogged down during a high tide nearly caught fire and turned over when the sea came in around it. hope the bull sharks stayed away and the fishing was good.

  • Nice vid. Just to add to the argument about softroader they go well but like anything have their limitations. I will admit I have a modified Subaru Forester for my offroading and it does well but yeah has its limitations. It does have low range, more clearance than a Hilux but only open diffs. Light weight is an advantage too but I don't want a big 4x4. If I were towing a boat then I would get a turbo diesel car but I like having the onroad comfort of a car with offroad ability.

  • did a good job geting that far

  • Looks like a bunch of tossers gettin on the piss

  • its not about what 4wd you have its about how you drive it x trail forester pajero land cruser land rover either way they can all be good

  • its not about what 4wd you have its about how you drive it x trail forester pajero land cruser land rover either way they can all be good

  • You're obviously not familar with Fraser's geography to suggest that.

  • Would it not be easier to put the boat in on the mainland and make the 10 minute crossing to Fraser by boat? Looks like a boat and 4x4 show with the dude with the biggest combo winning the biggest wanker on Fraser award..

  • Who said Australia doesn't have money.LOL

  • nice vid man, always a mission with a boat but its always worth the effort!

  • great video

  • y dont people get it. they need more truck than there is boat

  • THANK YOU!!! Fraser Island, the best camping / fishing / family holiday ever. When I'm stuck at work on a bad day your Fraser videos make me think of the great times I've experienced at Orchid Beach and and I can't wait to get back again.

  • well i know the mazda ute made it :)

  • @mg78bscott True that mate, good times, great people and a hell of alot of fun. Thats Fraser for ya.

  • "so what's wrong with...

terracans (too low, not enough wheel articulation)

jackaroos (too low, not enough wheel articulation)

    cherokees (too small for trips)

pajeros (too low, not enough wheel articulation)

    fronteras (too small for trips)

challengers (too low, not enough wheel articulation)"

  • I don't understand this stopping in sand business, don't get that in the jimny ;)

  • were in the hell are u at to get stuck like that including with a boat behind u

  • awesome !! i thought they was going to a little fishing hole ,, turns out there is a bunch of people there ,, looks like a parking lot !

  • Judging by the date, it was likely at the Toyota Fraser Fishing Classic - google that for more details.

Great video, nice effort with music and captions.

  • I gotta admit...thats pretty hardcore!!! Anyone can wheel w/the right tools...it takes a real badass to play in the sand w/a boat attached. Awesome video!

  • @MrManslaghuter I DONT THINK HES A BADASS, I THINK HES A DUMBASS FOR TOWING A BOAT THROUGH THE SAND. RETARD.

  • X Trails cannot go off road. they suck they don't even have low range. get a landcruiser, prado, patrol or a wrangler

  • mate, there's more out there than just the common ones.... hell the 40,60 and 80 series cruisers are crap for the sand, far too underpowered

    so what's wrong with...

    terracans

    jackaroos

    cherokees

    pajeros

    fronteras

    challengers

etc... all decent engines, and lightweight

  • Every car you listed after, "so what's wrong with..." ARE crap. I mean a terracan. You have gotta be fucking kidding me mate. Go down to your local Toyota Dealership and have a squiz through a Toyota catalog.

  • @andyoopoo Hey buddy do you think a prado TD old one is a good 4wd and does is it good on fuel

  • @Gtaking78 Hey, I personall think the Prado TD's are a very reliable and off road capable. The Prado has heaps of articulation at the rear end which helps tremedously off road but independent front suspension has limited travel. As for fuel economy since it is a TD it is better than the petrol and will give you good economy as long as you don't constantly give it a bootful. Because prado's are so popular there are plenty of cheap aftermarket acessories to make it as capable as you want.

  • @andyoopoo I think im gonna buy a 2001 lift it and put spot lights on it biger tyers winch bull bar all arb. gonna be around $20,000 thats the only bad thing. gonna take some saveing

  • @Gtaking78 Yea sounds goods, just watch it when the front suspension flexes it can sometimes make cracking noise its apparantly normal. And just check to make sure it went back in to get the factory recall.

  • @andyoopoo You have no idea do you, I own an xtrail and hve gone through every part of fraser without getting stuck. Yeah they arnt the biggest 4wd nor are they the best but horses for courses mate.

  • @blacls Clearly you have no idea. Xtrail = no articulation, no low range, no ground clearance. The only thing an Xtrail has going for it is its lightweight, but even that cannot stop it dragging its guts. Also when you lock the centre diff (which is only a fake centre diff lock) they overheat if you drive with it engaged for to long.

  • @andyoopoo Get of your high horse ego, Ground Clearence can be fixed easily, old man emu lift kit built especially for xtrail no probs. The diff lock doesnt overheat mine never has nor has anyone's I have known.

Keep ya big 4wds pay your big bucks and stroke your cock and no doubt your wanker wagon will spend more time in the Woolworths parking lot instead of the beach. Don't knock the people having fun in the smaller 4WD's

  • @blacls I am not on my high horse, I am just stating facts that Xtrails suck off road. They are in a completely different league of off road abiltiy than anything that has low range. Even the suzuki grand vitara dominates the xtrail off road. Learn you facts about soft roaders before commenting on youtube. There is a reason why Xtrails and Rav4s and foresters are called soft roaders, because they are soft.

  • @andyoopoo Well mate they might be soft but I have never had to turn around and I have done Fraser, Moreton, Rainbow Beach and tow a 4.2 tinnie so maybe they are only suck when drivers like you drive them.

  • @blacls I have never been bogged in one, it is just they have to work alot harder than a proper four wheel drive does. There is less control because you are constantly having to give it the loud boot. As soon as a wheel comes off the ground which easily happens nearly all momentum lost. They are adequate in some sand, but in deep rutted soft powdery sand they struggle. I have seen numerous bogged in Indian head and also Ngkala rocks where low range is a must.

  • @andyoopoo or Landrover

  • Fucken Hard Stuff

  • yaya all you guys thing your land rovers are bad.....my cummins would tear you apart with my boat on

  • you wish

  • get a land rover, the best 4x4xfar, I use my 2004 Range Rover to tow through soft sand and never had any issues ! ever !

  • its not the truck man its the driver!!!!!!!!

not saying your bad but put a bad driver in a good truck and he is still going to fu#$ up

  • same buddy owned our rangie for five years now and never has it got stuck and we tow a 24ft power boat in soft sand almost every week end

  • HEy dumass did u see those 2 foot ruts he was in

  • what that ?
