  • great video

  • OHHH so that WAS steve perry!!!!

  • Don't y'all all wish that our Ownership of the 49ers felt this way about San Francisco? Seriously the 49ers need to remain in the City by the Bay...SF

  • I don't understand why Journey isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some might not like their music but you have to respect it. Videos like this show just how influential they are.

  • im from cincinnati and a huge reds fan, but this is awesome. been to san francisco once and loved it.

  • I wish I was at this game! Giants fans are the best!!

  • You never walk alone!

  • I played this song when I saw the sunset in the direction of the city. It was glorious as I looked across the bay from Berkeley.

  • Americans are awesome. Coming from me who lives in England

  • 3 people are Dodgers fans.

  • omg i started tearing and i'm a mets fan

  • I was there. Best game of my life. Giants won 9-0 and the entire stadium was filled with diehard fans who are willing to camp over night to get 500$ tickets. And to make things better I got in for free! Some guy who worked for the giants gave us free tickets when we were just standing in mays plaza!

  • im pretty sure i just got the worst chills i have ever had

  • This is like Anfield and You'll Never Walk Alone.

  • iremeberr beinnq derr

    all bouut dee qiannts

  • I dont care for the Giants, but that was very cool!

  • If aliens ever come to Earth, I wouldn't take them to a museum; I wouldn't take them to a cathedral or to the office of any world leader. I'd take 'em to a baseball game.

Because when you've seen 50,000 people watching a man hit a ball with a stick (and love it), and then hear them all singing along to a song, and really, truly FEEL the strength of their combined voices vibrating through a billion tons of concrete and steel beneath your feet... you can begin to understand humanity.

  • @Yonkage hahahaha i agree!!!!!

  • can you imagine if this game had been at candlestick park? (i wont call the park by its phony name). it would have been a roar heard at the fisherman's wharf!!

  • 1:14

    i know that feel

  • i get chills whenever i watch this

  • i love you steve perry!!!

  • @cullenfreak27

    i love YOU sergio romo!!!

  • I LIVE IN KANSAS CITY AND IM THE BIGGEST SF GIANTS FAN THAT LIVES HERE!! I seriously get goosebumps everytime I watch this video and ive watched it since the world series was over. Im 19 years old and I get told each and everyday that I cant do that or ill never be able to accomplish my dreams...The SF Giants proved everyone that said that WRONG!! You dont have to be a New York Yankee 2 win the world Series...You just gotta be the MISFITS of baseball! Long Live Tim and Brian Wilson

  • one of the best moments in giants history. love it.

  • Thumbs up for living in San Francisco.

  • Why don't they sing "We built this City?"

  • nice vibe out of Norcal

  • this song, atmosphere, crowd, and team really brings me so much pride and joy to be living in the bay area. Gotta love San Francisco :)

  • Two words: WORLD CHAMPIONS

  • i'm a reds fan, but this is awesome

  • I was there for this..Only in SF...Giants Repeat!!

  • Damn. AT & T Park is tiny ! W.T.F. ?

  • @bigchickenfu

It seats more then 41,000, its a mid sized park and always sold out.

  • @bigchickenfu Tiny? Are you kidding? over 40k seats, and sold out every night. Much better than the caverns of stadiums built in the 60s and 70s that are relics of too big itis.

AT&T and Safeco in Seattle are hands down, without question, the best MLB stadiums.

  • @Axtell71 You couldn't have said it better! AT&T is the best overall, Safeco 2nd (best retractable/dome)

  • @bigchickenfu

get the hell of this video phillies fans

dude how is a.t.n.t park small tiny. it literally sold out every game unlike the phillies

  • @bigchickenfu ATnT Park is one of the best Parks in the MLB. Plus it has 40k seats thats the average ballpark size and we sell out every night.

  • @bigchickenfu AT&T park is actually midsized and you're forgetting it also has A FUCKING DOCK.

  • this is great

  • this is probably my favorite video on youtube....just awesome. Thanks Concertkid!

  • Everytime I watch this video I get a little lump in my throat. Seeing my fellow Giants fans singing in unison, to a song for the City. Just watching this moment of sheer happiness, after all we have been through, 04, 03, 02!!!, 2000, 97, 93, 89, 87 and to get to this point, this moment just seemed like a pure release from the decades of "torture"

  • I would honestly move back to the bay JUST so I could be a part of this.

  • Just pure epicness!!!!!!

  • this is straight up porn

  • Liverpool and Anfield has "You'll Never Walk Alone", The BoSox and Fenway have "Sweet Caroline," but truthfully being able to experience AT&T Park and Giants fans with "Lights" and "Don't Stop Believing" has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.

  • Chills

  • Being at this game 15 rows from home plate was the most amazing night of my life!

  • My boss went to this game and he said it was chilling how special of a moment this was. He said everyone was so into this song and how it felt like the entire city of SF united to sing it.

  • Tell me it wouldnt have been awesome if they cut the music at the end so all we could hear was just our voices. I loved this night and I love the Giants.

  • this probably the most unified thing i've seen and im a cubs fan and enjoy watching soccer, fans know how to sing together in soccer but not like this

  • GIANTS ROCK! Lets repeat the magic this year!

  • I love living in San Francisco.

  • I want to be there in THAT city!!

  • im from LA, and this still kind of gives me goosebumps...

  • :'-) Black and Orange for LIFE!

  • God, I want to move to SF SO DAMN BADLY! I'm probably too broke though... :(

  • I so wish I could have been there

  • Josh Hamilton and Ron Washington disliked this after snorting a line of coke.

  • Wow that was beautiful (: the last time i was at a Giants game was when Barry Bonds was still playing btw I'm 18 so do the math (:

  • Wasn't Steve Perry at this game? Amazing!

  • For the last five years of my life, I've been everywhere but home. Germany, Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, Washington State. I grew up watching Williams, Gardner, Bonds, Kent, Snow, Schmidt...I was devastated as a child in the '02 series.

I wanted nothing more then to be home last fall, to watch some games with my pop like the old days. This video reminds me of the magic last season, and brings me one step closer to being home. Thank you so much.

All of you Giants fans here can relate I'm sure.

  • @ebannaw Right on, thank you for your service. Send me a private message when you return to the Bay and we'll meet at the Park so I can buy you and your Pop a beer.

  • @concertkid Can I come too? Let's meet at the Caltrains station!

  • @concertkid

I just may take you up on that offer one day. I'm coming home to the Bay for good this month.

  • @concertkid What an awesome thing to do friend!!

  • @ebannaw - Thank you for your service. There's a grateful nation who'll welcome you home with "open arms." You'll be rocking out to Journey and going to baseball games soon enough!

  • @ebannaw You know it! GO GIANTS!

  • @ebannaw So true!!! I live in San Antonio, TX now! I used to go to a lot of Giants games during the Matt Williams/Will Clark/Kevin Mitchel seasons! Watching this brings back memories of Candlestick Park when I was young! It totally brings you back home...to the bay...our city by the bay! Nothing compares to this city...NOTHING! Rock on, San Francisco!

  • I just watched this for about the 47,000th time.

  • I was so fortunate to have been at that game and singing this song with the 43,000+ people inside that night. I've been a Giants fan all of my life and waited for this moment forever. It was worth every penny getting to be there and experiencing it in person and seeing our boys finally bringing one back to the Bay. This was one experience I will cherish forever and knowing I witnessed in person our first WS championship in the making. GO GIANTS! HUM BABY!!!!!!!!

  • @fijikid80 That must have been so cool...The energy!!!!!!!

  • i still cant believe the giants won the world series. Its like a wonderful dream that you wake up to find out that its reality. What a magical season that was i started following 3/4 through the season and i swear you have to of followed the season as a whole to understand how magical and just awesome it was. In all my years of watching sports nothing could ever be better than the 2010 baseball season. Exept maybe if the 49ers win the super bowl with Alex Smith. but..... not likley

  • 2 people are not from the city by the bay

  • It's just Great to see Steve Perry doing what he does Great~singing to his peeps!! Perryon ~ 2011 and Beyond!!

  • I grew up in the Bay Area and now live in Jacksonville, FL. Where I work, people thought I was nuts for doing sprints yelling at the top of my lungs, "GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!!!!"

When life gets me down I look at/listen to this. Thanks amigo.

  • I was outside at McCovey Cove and a thousand of us were singing along to the thousands inside. It is a memory that I will never forget.

  • Heh, I saw myself sitting under the scoreboard. I'll never forget this experience.

  • ya giants are on the board 3-1!!

  • LOVE!♥

  • I don't care what anyone says-- thumbs up if you agree that we have the greatest fans in all of sports.

  • two dis-likes are ranger fans

  • I got goosebumps from watching this. Awesome. Go Giants!!

  • awesome. great post

  • I don't post many comments here but I come to this video every now and then and just relive the magic. It was such a magical ride and this video exemplifies everything about last year. I can't wait till Opening Day and what this season will bring. Go Giants.

  • This was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. Your video captures it perfectly! As a kid at Candlestick I remember they would play Lights before the fireworks after games.

  • I was there!!! Me and my dad where just sitting out at mays plaza and some guy gave us two free tickets. Best night of my life!!!

  • I get goose bumps every time I see this!! Go Giants babyeee!!!

  • We are calling you Steve Perry, please come on stage and sing!! You are an inspiration to your fans and the SF Giants!! The best Good Luck Charm!! Love Steve Perry, love the magic of him!

  • man, I wish I was there. Purely amazing. This was the most magical journey for San Francisco. LET'S GO GIANTS!!!!!

  • Giants fans are as passionate as you can get to baseball, without the douchebag attitude seen with certain east coast teams.

  • JOURNEY+THE GIANTS+THE BEST FANS IN THE WORD = HAPPINESS

  • Thanks for uploading this! Thank you!!!!

  • I want to be there in my city. <3

I love you, San Francisco. And the Giants.

  • Somebody at 1:39 hits that harmony really nice!

Great video, wish I was there that night.

  • 2 people don't live in the city

  • makes me watery eyed every single time!! Go Giants!!

  • Bill Simmons said it himself Cubs, Red Sox, And Giants have the best baseball atomosphere

  • Nowhere else in baseball will you experience this... just more proof than San Francisco has the best fan base in baseball! Looking forward to another great season in 2011 GO GIANTS BABY!!!

  • und ich war da !

  • STEVE PERRY!!!!!!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

  • If you don't love San Francisco and this song, then you don't love life.

  • @billjitsu you got that right!!

  • @1:18 dude standing up, but on his phone...

  • Will never get tired of watching this lovely video

  • What did you use to film this - it's excellent!

  • @ValerieHarris1 Thanks, Valerie. I used a Canon Powershot digital still camera on HD setting

  • @concertkid which powershot model specifically?

  • @Ragtime4 It's a Canon Powershot SX210 IS, which came out in April 2010. It's priced at about $250 nowadays

  • Thank you so much for doing such a great job to share such a great experience.

  • I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS MOMENT!

  • I was there. It was magical 2 me, SHUT UP doger fans, :}

  • GO GIANTS!!, IMA DIE HARD ORANGE BLEEDIN FAN FOREVER!

  • magical

  • i get chillllllssszz

  • two dislikes by padres fans

  • @chenrayen Thankfully, the Padres choked.

  • This was great. I was out in the bleachers, and, as a die hard giants fan and city boy, fucking LOVE this song, and i was trying to sing it but my voice was GONE after 8 innings of yelling and shit. Was beautiful hearing the whole park sing it though.

  • 1:15...... damn ranger fans hahahahhaha lookin like a bunch of idiots all sitting in silence

  • so freakin EPIC! Wish i coulda been there

  • I paid $555 dollars to go to this game and sit in top row. My parents car broke down while mom was pregnant with me on Golden Gate Bridge and this song started on radio as soon as car stoped. They played this song at my fathers funeral services. Giants scored 7 runs after every person in stadium sang this song. It seriously was one of the best nights of my life. WE DID IT DAD!!!!!! WE FUCKING DID IT!!!!! I can't believe we won!!! Especially cause god is a yankee fan!!!!!!!

  • I was there for that and it was hands down one of the most amazing things that I have ever felt!!! Literally every single giants fan started singing. This is a memory that I will LOVE for the rest of my life.

    GO GIANTS!!!1

  • I see a guy with a laptop watching Justing Beiber videos during 0:47... What the heck? I would literary do ANYTHING to go to a Giants World Series game, and some stupid guy is sitting watching Justin Beiber. Life isn't fair sometimes... I wish I could've been there.

  • @BlocklandWorld To be fair, that looks like a TV, not a laptop. Fox was probably just doing their stupid Justin Beiber promo.

  • chills!!

  • i got teary eyed watching this

  • what time in the game did they play this song?

  • @chenrayen In the middle of the 8th inning, just before the Giants scored seven runs to break the game open

  • @concertkid Epic bullpen meltdown!

  • @concertkid its safe to say then that it scores runs. can't wait till we get to do it again THIS year

  • this shit makes me cry. im not lying. im a diehard giants fan since 87(the year i was born). my whole family is. i was born in salinas and right now live in phoenix,az and was here this whole season. i got t o see them 5 times when they were here against the diamondbacks this year and the very 1st spring training game in peoria and a shit ton at they're spring training facility in scottsdale and plan to again this march. but this is just unreal. this whole season. we proved em all wrong giants!

  • I had in a standing seat right above the left field bleachers and I was amongst the thousands singing this song in unison and cheering on our GIANTS in their 9-0 rout of Texas. The unity of our fans and spirit for our team was electric and completely amazing. Coming from an AUTHENTIC GIANTS FAN, I have never been prouder of our boys in black and orange. Go Giants baby! World Series champs!!!!!!!

  • this is sooo cool...wish i could have gone..i went to the civic center during the parade and when dont stop believing came on everyone started singing...gives me the chills thinking about it

  • AND FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1954,GIANTS ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!

    GO GAINTS BABY!!

  • i went to this game i was in the bleachers right under you guys im a giants fan WS CHAMPS!!!!!

  • I was in my raft in mccovey cove for this game. Hearing 42,000 people singing this in unison is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I wish i was in the stadium for this moment.

    WORLD CHAMPS!!!

  • An all-time great joy moment. This cheers me no end!

  • 2 dislikes are from Phillies and Rangers fans lol

  • Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. I was lucky enough to be at AT&T when they clinched the division and for 2 playoff games, but wish I had been there for this game!

I still can't believe the Giants did it.

  • @ 1:14. The lady wipes away a tear. Notices she's on camera and plays it off by wiping her forehead...LOL!

    WORLD CHAMPS!!!

  • :')

oh man...the love Giants fans shared this year, so sad that i wasn't around...

    <3

  • This Video Gives me the Chills, When having a bad day I can count on this video to cheer me up! Giants Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • not gonna lie, even though i'm a diehard A's fan, this gave me the chills. It was too sick to see the Giants win it.

  • I used to live in the Bay Area, but have since moved away. I kept Giants season tickets, and made it out for Game 1. It was awesome. You captured the feeling beautifully here.

SF Bay Area residents: you don't know how lucky you are to live in such a beautiful place. I play this over and over, and my eyes tear up every time. I miss the Bay Area.

  • I went to that game, I remember that. I went to both nlcs game 5 and world series game 2, and Steve Perry was there. It was a game that I will never forget.

  • sorry i just wanted to share that

  • holy crap...im 14 ive been to 2 world series (2002, 2010), two games that steve perry was at (nlcs game 5 and this one) i went to the all star game at att where ichiro made history with the inside the park home run, i was at bonds' 756, bonds' 73 was my parents anaversery and i was there, ive been to every opening day at att/pac bell/sbc park, my names on a brick in front of the stadium, ive been on the green monster at fenway, i was at the last old timers day at the old yankee stadium. IMLUCKY!

  • I can't watch this enough. The Steve Perry angle on the season brought the magic and this vid captures the spell. My son is 2 &1/2 and SO into the Giants, but he will not remember the games we went this year or the Championship run or even the parade. I hope that I have this video around for decades to come, because showing it to him will let him know how great and important the Series was to us back in 2010.

Beautiful job capturing a beautiful moment. I'm glad you where there. Thanks Kid!

  • 1:43 to 1:46 still give me goose bumps!! WHAT A GREAT POSTSEASON, it was so fun that I didn't want it to end!! GIANTS!! F-YEA!

  • Just. Epic. I haven't been the biggest fan of sports, but I know how much the Giants' victory has impacted EVERYONE around me...and of course, to see this: Perry and and a couple thousand Giants fans singing "Lights" in unison - you just can't beat that!!

  • i was at that game!20 rows behind home plate! One of the best times of my life, I still can't believe I actually went.

  • oh so thats why it looked like section 336 was empty!! what were they doing over there?

  • Just signed up on youtube to comment on this video. Hey Kid, you did an absolutely fantastic job capturing this moment. I was there with my 3 brothers and hearing this song and the crowd was unforgettable. Other than my wedding and the birth of my 3 kids, singing along with my fellow Giants fans at Game 2 has been the highlight of my life. Thanks for allowing me to relive it, Kid!

  • That looked like his daughter next to him with the camera

  • Damn i woulda given a limb to be there like girlj7 said it captured the moment

  • God I miss Steve Perry!!!

  • so badass!!!

  • @ AT&T, they should replace the corny "God Bless America" with "Lights"

  • I was so fortunate to be in attendance in the left field bleachers. What an amazing day and an amazing season. Thank you Giants for these special times!

  • When the lights go down in the city......and the sun shines on the bay

  • @concertkid...Two words...Beautiful Footage

  • Awesome....Thanks concertkid for posting. I love seeing Steve enjoying himself and everyone singing along with lights. =)))

  • Fantastic Video!!! Dam this song brings back memories of the 1980's. Steve Perry and the Giants are the BEST!!! Thanks concertkid for getting this treasure of a memory on video.
