  • What type of grease should be used on the barrel nut

  • Would it be possible to install this with a pinned flash hider on the barrel?

  • @Robalose no

  • How tough is this rail? It seams like there would be a little play just holding it on with a couple of allen screws.

  • @Soky270 You'd be surprised how tough they are. I've personally seen someone beat one against a concrete wall, and it survived with a couple scuffs.

  • @EchoOfLohengrin That's good to know. I've wanted one for a while, and I guess you've convinced me.

  • what size barrel is this?

  • Thanks for sharing, but I was wondering what length of gas system you have there? I am planning to purchase a bushmaster xm-15 carbine. With 16" barrel. And i really like that the handguard stretches about that length of the barrel. So is this a carbine with a 16" barrel. If it is, i know that i want the 11" version.

  • @bjornhaavard

It appears to be a 9 inch midlength gas system.

  • Looking to build my first AR and I,m trying to do my research. I love this concept what with the slimness and the lightness and the insertable rails but I don't know If I fully trust the design. It just LOOKS flimsy. And I'm not too keen on it being clamped on by two allen screws. But hey I'm no expert. I'm eager to give this one a try. I just hope It's durable

  • @arandomperson3

They are solid rails. You'll find that some other high end rails on the market use screws to clamp on a barrel nut; Centurion Arms and Daniel Defense are two that come directly to mind, as they have models in their lineup with it. If this method was weak, it would have been abandoned long ago. I suggest actually holding/shooting one if you still have doubts.

  • @opmike343 Well I intend to being that I'm considering putting this on my first AR. Thank you for helping me with my homework now I know what to get.

  • What keeps the rail on, tension on the collar?

  • @kennygss

It twists, and indexes snugly on their custom barrel nut. From there, it gets clamped down using the supplied screws.

  • i wonder if this works with the ops 416 kit?

  • FYI: @ 1:47 you're using the TRX tool in the wrong direction. This way you run the risk of "opening" the tool, damaging it, I know this can happen because I did it to mine. It's in the instructions that come with the rail, but who reads those.... I'm guilty as charged.

  • I want that rail!! Can't wait until I can afford one.

  • @pock8size Like it, butgetting the Midwest Industries version, heavier at 25 oz, but it mounts the tube on STEEL collars, this Toy rail, WHILE EXCELLENT, is not good at being put on a gun and later down the line being put on another gun, or back on should you change your barrels. But its a little lighter(this is the TRX Extreme, the TRX Battlerail is a quad rail and M.I. makes a version of both that works with piston guns & uses a steel on steel lockup like the bolt mating to the barrel 4 removl

  • @reeseman67 Im sorry, its not 25 oz, but only 15 oz.. Scaled my friends which was my inspiration for a new build!
