What would you recommend as a beer without a bitter aftertaste?

@tehfear well, a mild or old ale would fit the bill - maybe Robinson's Old Tom, although it's quite strong. Moorhouse's Black Cat has got a lot of roasted flavour, although it's not particularly bitter. Copper Dragon Golden Pippin is fairly easy on the hops, being in the Pennine golden mild style. Or any Bavarian-style wheat beer - Grolsch Weizen in particular

It's really exciting seeing you review a Three Floyds beer. They are rated really highly on Beer Advocate and Rate Beer. What sucks is they're an American brewery and I can't even get them here in NY! Then again, I can't get Russian River or Avery, either.

I think these were teh first Russian Imperials I've seen you drink (correct me if I'm wrong). I always dig the chocolate and roasty flavor they have, but the booze tends to turn me off.

Yeah, they're sort of legendary, although they've done a great job of creating their own legend with Dark Lord Day. Good beers though, regardless.

I have a bottle of Dark Lord 09 that I am aging so that the sweetness will mellow out a bit.
