*sigh* if you want it to have more bass and not clip. You use 3 EQ's .

One for high-end, one for mids, and one for lows.

Make sure to cock off the mids mostly from all of your EQs, including the EQ for the mids, cause that makes it crisp and deep.

Then learn how to use compressors, then it will be louder and bassier and not clip.

Oh god, this is horrible. You don't know or have appreciation for well mastered/balanced music. The bass is nothing without the mids or highs. Its what truly sets a song apart and makes it show its true color.

@nitro329 I am playing through studio monitors and it has less punch because the highs and mids are now really quiet to get the same volume. This is just badly done bass boosting. If you have a decent sub system you shouldn't need to boost bass.

@EvolvedMatter I don't. I don't see the practicality of it. You put something like that in you need 15 tweeters and 10 midrange just to make it sound decent. Why drop $12,000 when you can get the same output for $4,000? Waste of money. If you want bass, look up Skream's "Emotionally mute" or even Pendulum's "Watercolour [Emalkay Remix]". Those are well balanced tracks that will give your subs a workout (If you have good subs).

@TheHolyheadshot But bass boosting is pointless. It just reduces headroom, making the whole track quieter. And if they don't use a limiter it just distorts. Bass is meant to be felt more than heard, and the only way to achieve that is to buy decent speakers. If you're bass boosting to compensate for the lack of bass in small speakers, all it will do is make it hard to hear the song. Pendulum have already mixed their bass at a perfect level, why change it?
