@gaztheman ...did you see the whole movie?? ..he did take the track like it supposed to be...at that point they first go right , when returning on that point they go full-out to the left and back to start/finish. It's a rough 8-form actually , they cross that point twice.

I know the track from simulations and i must say this could be done much faster actually!

That's also why u guys should have noticed this isn't the stig...the real stig doesn't lift off that much!

he braked into the follow through because he was going so much quicker in the lotus than in the suzuki or lacetti.

It was Julian Bailey twice according to Perry McCarthy's autobiography. But that was only the black suited Stig. I do happen to know the real Stig but I won't say who it is

Thats because he is using just the bottom end of the track. when he comes to the follow through at 01:06 video time (thats at 0.28.9 on the lap timer) he continues right, the stig, and the stars in the reasonably priced car, bear left at that point, which is a straighter route. Hence, he had to brake to make the turn.

I agree, who cares who the Stig really is? They most probably get a new driver for each series anyway. He's entertaining and a good driver. Thats all you need.
