Mac Mini boots superfast with SSD drive

Of course it boots like that, because there is nothing storaged in the SSD. So it practically does not have to load anything.

Very nice, I just swapped my Mac Mini out today. Now it's got a 2.4 Ghz C2D, 8GB DDR3 Ram, and a kickass Intel X-25 80GB SSD. Man this shit is stupid fast! Programs open up before I even get the chance to fully release the button on my mouse lol.

i was gunna buy a 1TB SSD drive but its over 10,000 dollars so does 250-500GB sound good for games and media?

if you want a 1 tb ssd. get 2 500 gb ssd's and configure them in raid 0, it'll be cheaper and way faster.

granted it's not a 2.5" drive. They do have 512gb ssd's 2.5" pre-configurable in the new macbook pros.

This doesn't change the fact that the machine is completely usable after booting for about 12 seconds.
