Of course it boots like that, because there is nothing storaged in the SSD. So it practically does not have to load anything.

Very nice, I just swapped my Mac Mini out today. Now it's got a 2.4 Ghz C2D, 8GB DDR3 Ram, and a kickass Intel X-25 80GB SSD. Man this shit is stupid fast! Programs open up before I even get the chance to fully release the button on my mouse lol.

i was gunna buy a 1TB SSD drive but its over 10,000 dollars so does 250-500GB sound good for games and media?

if you want a 1 tb ssd. get 2 500 gb ssd's and configure them in raid 0, it'll be cheaper and way faster.
