  • oh, papageno und papagena sind so niedlich!!

  • perche, MarcAvant, non ascolti questo, invece di giustificare robaccia che ti fa cadere in depressione?

  • Papagana here is one of my favorites!!! For a little woman she can really throw her voice!!!:-))Queen of the Night was not bad!!!!!!!!- as some have suggested!!!!

  • The queen of the night was very bad. Simply she needs more practice. Papageno in some parts sounds like a tenor not like a baritone.

  • What?! If you don't like classical music keep your comments to yourself.

  • No one loves Classical music more than I do. That is why I want to protect it from productions like this that draw so heavily on the popular culture created by marketing and advertising.

  • Also, Die Zauberflöte is SUPER racist. It's not the interpretation. Monastatos ring any bells?

  • There is nothing racist at all about Die Zuaberfloette. Black is used in its usually symbolic value of evil--it has nothing to do with people whose ancestors more recently came from Africa than others (don;t forget that everyone is descended from African immigrants).

I think you're mistaken about Monastatos--you must be thinking of Papageno--oh, and isn't he discriminating against the bird people?

  • Uh... How about "Weil ein Schwarzer häßlich ist," and "Eine Weiße nahm mich ein,

Weiss ist schön!" Both lines from Monostatos. Maybe the slants on skin color are metaphorical, but I some how doubt it.

  • What a delight! New voices and new direction for Papageno and Papagena, very funny, but splendid voices.

  • ich war auch in dem gleichen theater!

das ist in essen ist echt schön und das stück,also die zauberflöte, hat mir auch sehr, sehr gut gefallen!

  • omg, Papagena was SO hot!

  • be-be-be-be-be-be-be-beautiful!

  • opmg im so excited i get to play papagena in the play not opera version and papageno is such i dork i love him!

  • This is so cute, I've watched alot of the papageno/papagena songs, this stands out, and I like the lady's dancing as well singing.

  • Who is that black girl in the underskirt. She is the absolute ideal Engagement for the Papagena. I had to laugh when I saw her. Yeah, Papagena is a funny girl as Mozart intended, I suppose.

  • If you look down the page ,you will see your answer!! Christina Clark!!! She seems to do most of her work in Germany and the EU !!! Our loss - indeed!!!!!!!

  • Oh I so do love Papagena here *_*

  • Yes!!!!!!! She is something else!!! I wonder who she is and if her career took off!!! i wish her the best!!!!1

  • what´s the name of the song betwenn 0040 and 1:00 ?

  • It's "Der Hölle Rache Kocht In Meinem Herzen"

  • Out of all the clips this one by far is my favorite. Christina Clark's voice is amamzing. They both have great chemistry. And I love it when she does the tango at the end of the song.

  • she flung those high notes up in the queen of the night. but lacking of control

  • Queen of the Night sucks =(

  • Yeah, I didn't like her very much either. The facial contortions during the high f's are totally un-necessary as well as extremely distracting. Although I wouldn't say that she sucks, though.

  • ohhh this i ca explain! her mouth opens wider because when you shift that highj into head voice sound comes out easier when your mouht is wider! xD and those Fs are a strain on everyone. thats no exageration. its very hard to sing them properly, so the facial contortions are really very neccesary.

  • Papagena is sooo coool!

  • who plays Papagena??? I luv her!!!!! :D

  • Christina Clark

  • thanks!!! :)

  • wow she is really good :D

  • Papagena's costume looks an awful lot like Julie Taymor's design...

  • I know!! That's the first thing I thought when I saw it!

  • the queen of the night couldnt really hit those high notes fully

  • what a costume?

  • My favourite part ist from 00:40 to 00:50... :-)

  • Les costumes sont malades

c vraiment hot. Ca me donne vraiment le gout de le voir

  • awesome

  • che schifo di costumi

  • great voices

  • where comes the three boys from?

  • As I know, the boys are local youth singer from Essen.

  • ...no the boys are from dortmund... i sang in dortmund at the chorakademie am konzerthaus dortmund... and it's very fantastic to se myself there singing...
