This isn't a literary issue, it is a purity issue.
If the Bible really is the word of God, the voice is actually changing the Bible to make it mean whatever the voice authors want.
The ESV is poetic to me, but it is also accurately translated.

I am a big fan of the Voice. When can we expect an OT version.

It would be very difficult to cut through the prejudice that comes from "knowing" the bible. I think there is value in what you have done and the general undertaking for a translation such as this.
Understanding "faith" in the carnal(real) world is easier when I consider how the faith of the first disciples understood their calling.
I wish there were a translation that included the writings of the apostolic fathers, i.e. Epistle to Diognetus etc. These are not studied by most, but should be.
