@abiezz Nowadays it's the other way around. Much harder to find diesels in America than Europe. They're a much better engine for daily driving/reliability, too.
Loosen the bolts, use the lug wrench to tilt the plastic mount at the top, so you can take the spring off. Then, unbolt remove and replace the shock/dampener.
No, they're clear in the video. It's directly left of the radiator hose output ON the cylinder head. Go to ebaymotors and see 'Mercedes belt shock damper.' Also, get a shop manual.

Do you take the fan or the fan shroud out to access these parts? Is this the one on the passenger side of the engine we are talking about?
