It's actually an offence to film or take photographs of the police without their consent.

The police started using video cameras to film and take photographs of those involved in legal demonstrations. Clearly the protesters are now also using the same tactics against the police.

I was highlighting the ridiculous acts and laws which have been passed under the guise of countering terrorism.

@masterprogram Angry Piggy? Far from it, I was just explaining some of the laws that were brought in under the terrorism act which are erroding our freedom. Likewise with the stop and search laws which are passed and are used against peaceful protesters and at demonstrations.

It's all a part of own own version of the United States "PATRIOT Act", laws are brought in to tackle an apparent problem, terrorism, civil unrest but are seldom used for that reason.

I cannot believe the way in which Ben Brown was accusing Jody McIntyrne of in some way instigating this attack tonight on BBC News. As Mr McIntyrne rightfully articulated during the interview his line of questioning is fundamentally flawed and clearly demonstrates his own prejudices and lack of empathy towards Jody's situation and physical handicap. Shame on you Ben Brown this is unacceptable behaviour and I will be making a formal complaint because of it.

Given what I've seen of the Police handling they clearly incited the violence against them by their actions towards the protesters. They have zero right to complain given what they clearly set themselves up for. People are only human at the end f the day and if you deliberately behave like this towards them they are going to defend themselves as they have every right to do!
