Those of you who say Daniel Craig's portrayal of James Bond is not spot on, are out of your trees. Go back and read, or re-read, Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. QoS is a continuation of that film. None of the other screen adaptations plays as true to the Fleming books. None of the events in the other movies share the least bit real connection to the others. A change like this in the Bond franchise is WAY overdue. Bravo Mr. Craig!!

I agree with you, it is very nice to see a change in James Bond and it was way over due. We see (in daniel craigs movies) this wreckless character who later on becomes more refined and clean cut. This portrayal is right on so good.

Hi, In the Ian Flemming book's,"M" was a man. Originaly played by Bernard Lee(Last Bond movie Moonraker) until his death in 1981. Others played M until Judy Dench came along. I think with the changing times they put a woman in charge of Mi6... I didn't like her in any of the Pirce Bronson Bond films, but she redeemed herself in Casino Royale & did a great job here... Just like M should be, tough & in charge. Lee was the BEST. This new Bond movie was Escellent!!! Long live 007!!! David

It would have bollocksed the whole QOS storyline if he had bonked that Olga bird. He's supposed to be avenging Vesper not making a mockery of his feelings for her by falling in love with another woman again a week later. He'll be using and abusing in the next one if they get a director who knows what he's doing.

You have to keep in mind that the story takes place before all the other movies. This picks up where Casino Royale left off, and Casino Royale was supposed to be when Bond first became a 00 agent.

The idea that the Pierce Brosnan films were bad is laughable. They were the best bonds.

As for Quantum of Solace, the storyline is very very tired, and I was wondering when I watch it, if it will have the same reaction as Casino Royale, which included too many boring segments that made you feel like watching the movie was actually pulling teeth. Pierce Brosnan should have never left the 007 scene. Unfortunately for him, things didn't work out that way. Too bad this means more bad films by Craig

This is my message to Marc Foster. You made a good film, but you missed one vital element to remind your audience they were watching a Bond movie. The Bond theme. Why all the generic drum beats during the action? Why not stamp it with the theme? Used 3 times during ther film but even then you didn't make it prominent enough. So instead of making a Bond film, you made an action film about a spy. Casino Royale got away with at as he had not yet fully earned the theme, but QOS needed it.U blew it.

That is how Fleming portrayed him. From an artistic standpoint it is a plus. It is a deviation from the campy-ness that has been instilled in the Bond series which to me is a good thing.

I never expressed much love for any other actors that played them, until I saw Casino Royale and said 'Bond is back.'
