I'm only seventy now, play guitar around the campfire although not often enough; for the kids and grandkids; recall my Dad singing this song; brings back lots of warmth back from the war torn '40's.

thank you- my dad who is tone deaf used to sing this to me and my siblings all through our childhood and into our adulthood. I never knew who sang this til he got a catalog of old country music. How did it become allowed to not be able to sing today? I swear that every old recording I hear, and honestly I've become a bit of a collector at this point, even the low budget recordings... Everyone just sounds so soulful and human. Country, Blues, Jazz, BeBop, Swing... just people making music... none of these damned robots using computers... and they still can't get it right!!
