While I own this album on cassette and vinyl, there is NOTHING like hearing Anita sing it live! She sung with such passion that a tear feel from my eye and I'm not a crier; but the emotions she conveyed brought me to that point.

1986..my mom buys me the Rapture tape (yes tape)..and I spend every single afternoon singing this song...and all of the other tracks! lol This is when singers were SINGERS! And the entire album was great!
I was a 16-year-old white farm kid in Ohio when this album came out and I remember sitting in my high school parking lot, in my car listening to this cassette tape straight through. I just couldn't get out until the entire album had played. I was mesmerized by this woman's voice and the amazing songs that just fit her voice like a glove. It was was fantastic. Needless to say, I was late to school that day.

@mzskorpian28 I (my mom) too had it on vinyl. But just like Coltrane's body of work, seldom did it come out of the album cover. "Boy, don't you scratch my damn album!" Ahh, such sweet memories....

1986..my mom buys me the Rapture tape (yes tape)..and I spend every single afternoon singing this song...and all of the other tracks! lol This is when singers were SINGERS! And the entire album was great!

I was a 16-year-old white farm kid in Ohio when this album came out and I remember sitting in my high school parking lot, in my car listening to this cassette tape straight through. I just couldn't get out until the entire album had played. I was mesmerized by this woman's voice and the amazing songs that just fit her voice like a glove. It was was fantastic. Needless to say, I was late to school that day.
