What is mass in String Theory? We know time, mass, space, and, energy are all related in some way, could those quantities all have something to do with the vibrations on these little strings. Also what are the strings made of? Can anyone answer that?
@rhoadess Mass is related to the vibrational energy of the string. The energy of the string is only allowed in certain multiples of a fundamental energy unit called h-bar. M-theory says that our universe could be made of something called a p-brain. A P-brain is basically a string that has stretched in p dimensions. A string is just a string. It is fundamental.
