@GameLikeGunz When i first bought mine i had this to and this will occur in any casting reel. Imagine it like this say you have a rock in your hand and a leaf in the other you throw them both obviously the the rock will go alot farther than a leaf its the same type of thing with casting a lighter lure vs a heavier lure. What you can do is this , read the manuel and learn all the parts next loosen and play with the cast adjustment knob and make sure the VBS has only 1 or 2 brakes on. If this st
Yeah I have one and its probably my best reel, it casts further than my citica, curado, and sahara. My abu garcia max series will cast further with a big swimjig if I dont get a backlash

@GameLikeGunz sounds like your new to baitcasters. lighter lures are more for spining reels. heavy lures from a 1/4 to 1 oz. are good for baitcasters. hope i helped

Lighter Lures are much harder to cast - It's all about the thumb if you don't have a high end reel like a curado or revo. Hope that helped
