killing sephiroth in this battle is not difficult, what you need is increase your HP by HP up masterx2, and increase your attack by attack plus materia or octaslash (DMW) materia, there is no need any magic materia'

I defeated sephiroth in less then 2 minutes'

this is actually the first and last fight where i saw sephirot fighting seriously. in advent children he just plays around with cloud.

anyway, this fight is before zack were infused with jenova cells so i think he might defeat sepiroth right now (if he weren't dead)

and btw. cloud defeated sephiroth because he stabed him from the back with zack's sword. am i wrong?...

I think he wanted to go to the life stream because of some obscure reason...can't remember all the details now but I think that helped him find meteor.

he wanted the meteor to crash into the planet because it would create a hole or whatever so deep it would reach into the planets core

from there he would absorb the life stream & become one with the planet

That's what he wanted to do in FF7 but in this game he hasn't even found the meteor materia yet. I can't remember but I think it was in the temple from the first disc. Although, I think him falling into the lifestream let him find the Materia though.

@Mysticgamer Actually, the entire temple WAS the black materia. Also, @krishna49, he wasn't trying to dig a hole to the lifestream, he was trying to injure the planet so when it flooded the "wound" with lifestream to heal it, Sephiroth would be there to absorb the energy.

its how you fight that determins when you lvl up. Just spaming quake or thunderaga won't lvl you up ya need to use everything at your disposal more variety you use the more solider points you get that lvl you up.. I lvled up 4 times on the mission where you fight 200 soliders.

How can you be stuck in this game?

It is by far the easiest final fantasy of them all. The final boss isn't even past level 30. I was level 45 by the end of it and nothing could kill me, kinda annoying. But yeah to get strong just do a few missions and you'll be stronger then anything in the whole game.

That being said this is the by far the best final fantasy game to date. Final fantasy 9 used to be my favourite but this game is just so good!

Sephiroth says his mothers name is jenova, and during the mission to Nebilheim they find "Jenova" written on the inside of the mako reactor (which is filled with monsters in tubes). Sephiroth works out that he too is a monster and burns the town down in rage, zack and cloud seek to stop him.

in order to defeat sepiroth arsgard u should have tundgra and libra and be at level 32 where your attacks are over 1000 and you can win easily.

You just have to keep healing youself every time

Yes, there's an article about Sephiroth's life from when he was born till adulthood. Lucrecia, a scientist is his real mother. Hojo, his father(he did not tell Sephiroth that HE himself was his father), told Sephiroth when he was a child that his father deserted him at the crib and said his mother Jenova(who was not)died after his birth: part of this was right only Lucrecia was the one that died after his birth.

if you play this game again and this fight was hard at lvl 26 (sephiroth is at around lvl 35 or so, maybe higher ), do some of the missions if you didnt in this. I was a dumbass and didnt so in modeoheim, Angeal was a bitch to kill cus i was like lvl 16 when he was at lvl 25. im not criticising you or anything, but just given a tip to ppl who play this game. Nice vid btw, i havnt gotten to sephiroth yet cus im doing the missions. 40% is a good % b4 you do nibelheim.

and i actually started the entire game over without any of my materia or equipments.i stil have to beat minerva but other than that, i finished about i think 85% or something around there.
