There are a lot of places in the world dependent on air travel for their econemy, especially islands which do not have any other rapid link to the rest of the world.

Consider the fact that many tourist areas preserve their ecology for tourism. No air travel and they'll have to tear up the rainforests and coral reefs to feed their people.

The total carbon footprint of aviation is very small. If it tripled it would still be small. Aircraft are actually extremely effecient per-passenger.

Another example of how to patronise the viewer, insult his/her intelligence and fail to get any kind of message across other than what a bunch of numpties the makers of this video are. Aviation's carbon footprint is miniscule in comparison to that of the power wasted in the homes of the industrial nations either be devices on standby, poor insulation, lights left on etc. But you won't find many 'green' videos being made about that, will you?
