I love the flood, however, I hope when they make a movie, we get to see the true nature of the flood. Whether in the anime, or in the games; the flood wasn't portrayed as gruesome, and terrifying as they truly are. They still did a good job I just believe they can do better. Though the novels that had the flood in them were good. That's the kind of gore I'm talking about.
(Though I understand it can be hard to administer that with a rated M rating.)

@GoofyZerk not all the covenant. The Brutes were trying to stomp you since halo 2. You even had to kill one of their warchiefs , Tartarus , from trying to activate installation 04 and thus wipe out the life of the whole galaxy. I don't call this alliance ;)

@killer13324 Actually like i said both races were split down the middle but they didn't include it in Halo 3 because people would have been team killing out of confusion and Bungie didn't want to take them away and put them as allies in Halo 3 anyway.
The in game reasons that they split was because Grunts just follow whoever their leader is without question, be it Elite or Brute, and some Hunters didn't believe in "The Great Journey" anyway so some sided with the Elites and some with Brutes.

@DPerrito1 What planet? Looks like earth at first. Voi's infestation was not that intricate. And the last scenes showing Covenant and UNSC Ships flying towards what looks like a Forerunner structure. Where did this happen? What planet? No where did humans have massive amounts of Cruisers flying alongside Covenant Battlecruisers. Only ONE Frigate joined the Assault Carrier and Battlecruisers on the Ark.
This didn't happen in the games, that's for sure, unless it was in Halo Wars.

The challenge was how long does it take to make this game and how many new equipments and armaments are they gonna make.

Im very curious about the fate of the covenant remnants, more specifically the Sangheili(Elites).Karen Traviss's Halo GlassLands novel(set for this fall) is said to tell more about the fate of the sangheili(and their society).She said that after Halo 3, the sangheili's fate is not what the humans think.So im curious to see if the sangheili will make an appearence in Halo 4, or maybe sometime during the new trilogy(now called reclaimer trilogy).
@zeratul1356 The Halo Books aren't canon. Although 'The Fall of Reach" was a great read, I do not rely on the books for canon lore because it has been proven to be non accurate on numerous occasions. That being said, we know the Arbitar task force went back towards their home planet, but no idea if they made it or not. The Sanghelli are very well liked by fans so I'm sure we see them at some point (might even play as them in my view) but I doubt they will be a general enemy but ally.

@MrXGLWalker Well, the few datapads in Reach managed to I stumble into indicate that the UNSC brass was aware that there might be something bad out there, but they didn't know exactly what it was. Also they had discovered multiple empty forerunner installation throughout the galaxy so they damn well should've been aware that something fishy was going on.
But it's true that this episode retconned a lot. Though all for better in my honest opinion.
@MrXGLWalker Adding on to what fiveMIRrOrs has said, the first contact the Humans had with the Flood was during Halo Wars. However, because the Spirit of Fire was MIA by the end of Halo Wars, there was no way the UNSC was able to file the report of the Flood and what they could do.
WHY WHERE WAS THERE NEVER A BATTLE ON A SCALE AS LARGE AS ANY OF THOSE SCENES?! The only part that even comes close to any of this is that part in Halo CE, Two Betrayals, where you enter a threeway fight with the Flood and the Covenant in an open battlefield. And maybe Halo 3, the level called The Covenant, where its basically you, the marines, and a handful of Elites against the two scarabs, again in an open battlefield.
I love the soundtrack that plays when the covenant and the unsc unite, I searche through every halo legends soundtrack to find it. If anyone is looking for the soundtrack it's called "sacred icon suite II"

@somethingawful100 Also, the problem on Halo 3 was, the developer lacked the needed recipe for a greater scene such as the Infested structures, The Human and the Covenant ships, and the Actual Details of the scene. And the game was well behind the schedule to be released so they make it a little simpler and Hope that they would redeveloped the game. If you watch the trailer of Halo 4, it looks like the rediscovery of the real flood. Pardoned me for me poor english!

This would be the Most amazing story line from 2:48 onwards, the remains of the covenant or elites fighting along side the humans to destroy the flood, and pick up 100,000 years later where the forerunners left off.

The music in this whole section is just too overwhelming for me. It's just soo fucking sick that hairs on my body stand on end, i get choked up, and teary eyed. Just sooo sick. I think i'm going to have a heart attack when ever the movie is released. My brain won't be able to handle the simultaneous attack from the music and the visuals. My body is just going to give out LOL!!!!!!!!!

I doubt we face (as our prime enemy) the elites/brutes/Covie, etc in Halo 4. The elites are seperated now, and the rest of the Covenant is in shambles. Excited for it

Im very curious about the fate of the covenant remnants, more specifically the Sangheili(Elites).Karen Traviss's Halo GlassLands novel(set for this fall) is said to tell more about the fate of the sangheili(and their society).She said that after Halo 3, the sangheili's fate is not what the humans think.So im curious to see if the sangheili will make an appearence in Halo 4, or maybe sometime during the new trilogy(now called reclaimer trilogy).

@zeratul1356 The Halo Books aren't canon. Although 'The Fall of Reach" was a great read, I do not rely on the books for canon lore because it has been proven to be non accurate on numerous occasions. That being said, we know the Arbitar task force went back towards their home planet, but no idea if they made it or not. The Sanghelli are very well liked by fans so I'm sure we see them at some point (might even play as them in my view) but I doubt they will be a general enemy but ally.

Where the hell did you see this?All Halo comics, novels ect are all canon.The devs have said so, the wiki says so, and every fan says so.Hell, the forerunner trilogy and Halo Glasslands are being done to bridge the gap between Halo 3 and 4.You are the first person in a very long time who thought the novels are not canon.

@zeratul1356 They WERE canon when Bungie was the controlling body of Halo, but this has since been changed by 343 via their webpage as they have determined they will retcon numerous things. I trust the controlling bodies webpage over a wiki anyday of the week and when they openly state "previous outside sources of the Halo universe, while interesting, are not something we intend to follow nor continue with". And just to mention, 343 saying they will be retconning numerous things does not make the novels not canon.It just means they are changing a few details(which bungie have done numerous times already) so that the story makes more sense/fits better.Dates. numbers ect have all been retconned in Halo before.But that does not mean Fall of Reachor other novels/comics are not canon.Hell, look at the comic book version of Fall of Reach.if FoR was not canon, they wouldnt make a comic of it

@MrXGLWalker Well, the few datapads in Reach managed to I stumble into indicate that the UNSC brass was aware that there might be something bad out there, but they didn't know exactly what it was. Also they had discovered multiple empty forerunner installation throughout the galaxy so they damn well should've been aware that something fishy was going on.
But it's true that this episode retconned a lot. Though all for better in my honest opinion.

@MrXGLWalker Adding on to what fiveMIRrOrs has said, the first contact the Humans had with the Flood was during Halo Wars. However, because the Spirit of Fire was MIA by the end of Halo Wars, there was no way the UNSC was able to file the report of the Flood and what they could do.

WHY WHERE WAS THERE NEVER A BATTLE ON A SCALE AS LARGE AS ANY OF THOSE SCENES?! The only part that even comes close to any of this is that part in Halo CE, Two Betrayals, where you enter a threeway fight with the Flood and the Covenant in an open battlefield. And maybe Halo 3, the level called The Covenant, where its basically you, the marines, and a handful of Elites against the two scarabs, again in an open battlefield.
Reach's campaign could've been so much more...

@Snowsp33ders Not really. Halo 4 isn't going to feature the Covenant, it's supposed to be a whole new enemy. Plus, after Halo 3, the Brute and Prophet species were wiped out by the Elites. All of them. And Humanity is allied with the New Covenant. It's all explained in Halo: The Return
