  • where's Britinnia

  • lol My families crest is the lion. I'm a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce the ruled Scotland and England. truth. they believed they were of the king David line. It's true baby England, Scotland and Ireland, including wales are Israelites. England being Ephraim, and the united states being Manasseh. I'm from the tribe of judah, my families crest proves it and so does the declaration of Arbroath which he wrote to the pope at the time.

  • @Villaininexile its because of the Ulster ancestry there and a religion thing and its not the english we didnt do it on our own we had the scottish and welsh to

  • there was a competition and this designer won 30 grand prize, this is the first of the new design we will see , there will be different designs coming so hopefully the nxt design will incorparate wales, i have several collections some completed others not, finding it difficult to get 50ps in 09 and 10 , only seem to come across 50ps from the 2008, if anyone wants to bye a sheild of me they can send me a message,

  • Thank you very much

    God Bless you.

  • if-you-ask-me-i-think-it-looks-better-when-all-the-coins-are-bunched-up

  • Wales is a Principality ruled by the Prince of Wales so I'm unsre how it should have a place on the Royal Coat of Arms as owned by the Monarch?

  • Kill them all !

  • i hardly ever see new 2p coins. they seem really rare unlike the 10p, 20p and 1p

  • I'm very into heraldry right now...it's something I can't keep away from.

  • I emailed the designer, congratulating him on his designs and he replied. Nice fella, and fantastic designs.

  • yayy i got the 2008 20p! i couldnt figure out what it was, it looked like some seahorses when put vertically lol

  • the reason we are a princepality is because owain glyndwr proclaimed himself as the prince of wales what a prick should have said king lol

  • oh and one more thing we were a kingdom when Oqain Glyndwr took all of wales back and was crowned prince of wales (which is what we call king) and was recognised by ireland scotland and france of course the english didnt as that would admit to a defeat. but of course the rebellion ran out of money and the victor writes history. so we are a kingdom, we shud be on the flag and the coin any argument against just shows how others consider us to be second class to the rest of the UK, an PC to say so

  • Owain Glyndŵr only ever controlled North and parts of central Wales. The people of South Wales (the area corresponding to Glamorganshire, Monmouthshire and south Pembrokeshire) never accepted Glyndŵr as their ruler. Wales was never united under the rule of a single Welsh king (or prince).

  • like i said he was recognised as king by scotland ireland and wales maybe a few more not sure, whether a few lords were hoping for their own fight for power doesnt change the facts, sadly was a fact that other lords with a cliam to the thrown still ied for their place like the old princes continuos struggle for power. he was king and its are born right to independance which supporsadly living in democracy we shud be given, idependace for Scotland to!

  • Unfortunately polls show that no more than 15% of Welsh people support independence. Even in the last Welsh Assembly elections Plaid Cymru's share of the vote was only 22%. That's democracy for you...

  • more reason for independance!! just reflects how england has always thort of us, they dont give a toss. it pollitcally correct to take the piss out of wales, welsh people, are language (which 90% of people spoke in wales at the turn of the about the turn of the twentienth century until england slowly dismantled it) and not fully include us in the UK. independance i say its are born right, CYMRU AM BYTH!

  • The Union Flag is also an amalgam of only flags of England, Scotland and Ireland. Wales is not represented as it has never been a separate independent kingdom. Unlike the unions of the Scottish and English crowns (and later the Irish crown) there was no Welsh crown with which to make a union.

You may as well complain that Mercia, Wessex and Cornwall are not represented in the UK flag and arms.

Tough shit, Taffy... that's history! :-)

  • well said m8 wales shouldent be reprisented on anythin that is used throughout the UK

  • LMAO a Welshman designed it!

About time they got that biatch of the front.

  • Watch the video "The English are Germans The Welsh are real Britons" and thats an offical BBC News Report. Enough said
