i have seen the TR AOD ending cutscene then when lara gets kurtis weapon ,the weapon moves and points toward the darkness and lara smiles.............that means kurtis is not dead ........that means kurtis is in the darkness waiting for lara to go so that they could go out together..........and think...ONLY KURTIS CAN CONTROL HIS WEAPON....LARA CANT CONTROL IT. Kurtis shoudn't be dead.....he is the only playable boy character in all TR games...in fact where does kurtis body go in the last cutscene...his body is not there that means....kurtis is still alive. oh i really miss that playable character.....why did edios fired core? Core Design is the best than crystal dynamics.....Crystal dynamics SUCKS!!!! I hope kurtis will appear soon in other TR Games ......................I HOPE.

i cried for days when i had first finished traod(mind i was only around 9 then) as i had always been in love with kurtis :p i had always thought to myself"no hes not dead no atter what they say!"and now i just read a comment on another video about the end that just when she sees the way out she smiles and that is because she sees him <3<3<3 that is what i want to believe(cheesy ha?:p) as i am positively sure they are never going to use kurtis again... :( i so freakishly love this game...<3<3<3!

we can't be sure if Kurtis is dead or alive; there can be some possibilities:

1) as somebody said, only Kurtis can control his object with the strenght of the thought and in the final scene he drives Lara to the darkness and he is still alive anywhere we can't know;

2) Kurtis is dead but in an other world he can still control his object;

3) Kurtis never existed at the same time of Bouchard, Luddick because they are created and driven by Karel; ...

kurtis is not dead. if he was do u think the wepond would have been spinning in the end? remember the wepond only comes to kurtis if he makes it.(when he puts up his hand) so at the end MOST LIKELEY. he saw lara pick up the wepond and put up his hand commanding it to point to his direction. That's also probably the reason why she smiled. She maybe thought "so he made it out of this too, huh?"

Kurtis is Dead, the only reason people believe he is alive is because at the end of AOD his weapon starts activating. Thats' because it recognized Lara's Aura, it's says so in the book.

Kurtis is NOT dead.

1. We never saw him after the ending, but his body has moved from where he "died". AND, how did Lara control his weapon? Only HIM can activate it.

2. No, because Eidos fired Core, so it was discontinued.

3. YES, Adrian and Jeremy confirmed that he was alive, and would be coming back for a sequel. BUT, Eidos fired Core, which is why he isn't in Legend.

kurtis isnt dead because and the end lara comes back for him. she picks up kutis weapon and it opens and spins her around to the tunnel. kurtis can only open the weapon with only his power so he must be alive.

I heart Kurtis as much as anyone, but: KURTIS (SUPPOSEDLY) NEVER EXISTED!!! One of the very last cutscenes shows Karel revealing himself as Bouchard, Ludick AND Kurtis. So, he is neither dead nor alive, but the fragment of some derranged demon's imagination.

Kurtis did exist - this is a common mistake made by gamers. If you watch the cutscene which plays after Maximum Containment Area, you will see Karel watching Kurtis on the security cameras, proving that the two are completely seperate beings.

Tomb Raider was taken away from its creators and AoD was never finished, so Kurtis did not appear again. Just because he is not in Legend does not mean he did not survive - Eidos just decided to chuck out the AoD storyline and characters and write a new game.
