Most of my childhood was spent watching this movie over and over again. I wanted to be Linda so bad and have cutie, Jim teach me how to skate. Made my mom take me to some skating lessons because of this movie.

We used to go roller skating at Valley Roller Palace in Scotts Valley California just by Santa Cruz. I'd wear my ass tight white pants and "rex" to Another One Bites The Dust. Hollllyyyyyy shit!

Me and my siblings used to roller skate every Sunday after church (1978 to 1980 era) and when this movie came out, we all tried to out-do one another by pretending we were the cast of Roller Boogie. My sister ADORED Jim Bray and had to have the pinups out of me and brothers 16 Magazines. I've always viewed California through the eyes of this movie and especially this song. I have the full album so I may make a full video for this song.

I was watching "Love Connection" back in the late 80's and Jim Bray was actually a contestant. No mention of "Roller Boogie" was made and if I remember correctly, he was working in the food & beverage industry. The date didn't work out by the way.
