If only I had a theremin... I'm looking into some I can make myself, but goodness it'd be hard. By the way, nice video. Pretty nice playin I must say.
It wasn't very good, but I sounded worse when I first started. I'm no theremin expert, I'm trying to teach myself, and it is really hard. Nice performance, man! Try sitting down to play, I find it a LOT easier than standing up. Good job! :)
easy play, but hard to master. so i'm guessing you can make it sound sorta okay, but it's really hard to get it right on pitch and stuff. and i can see why.
Wow, that was good, but I could not keep myself from laughing the whole time at how out of tune it was and how it sounded like a dead screaming cat in the corner! HA HAH HA! LOL! By the way, this is awesome! Keep it up!
These comments crack me up. This was one of those church "talent show" events where people do funny stuff. This performance was hilarious and well-received. After the show, I spent about 45 minutes letting the kids (and a few adults) try their hand. Far from being a bad introduction to the instrument, it was a chance for people to experience it first-hand. But I just love the holier-than-thou attitude in these comments. You'd think I'd defecated on Mozart's corpse or something. :-)
The technical description is accurate and informative, but obviously too technical for the emcee. I am stating the obvious. The rendition needs some improvement, but one must allow for the inherent difficulty of playing the theremin. Actually, the offness is charming, sweet, and avant-garde.
The description was intentionally over-technical in order to be funny. The performance is the result of one week of practice and zero training. The whole thing is supposed to be funny. Thanks for almost getting it. :-)
the theremin isn't funny. it's an amazing instrument. most people watching wouldn't have heard of the theremin and this was their first introduction to it and you made it seem like a joke. good job.
Yeah. I'm the first person ever to publicly perform on an instrument with less skill than required to do it well in order to get a laugh. I just don't understand humor, nor do I have any respect for serious musicians and their serious instruments.
What a JERK! Your need to get attention in any way possible is pathetic. You lack of respect for such an precious instrument is appalling and your lack of respect for musicianship, and musicians all over the world who work hard and are passionate about music, is infuriating. Clearly you have mental problems and feel inadequate, but your personality defect is still no reason to make such a mockery of the Theremin and musicians.
Yeah, cos everybody judges an instrument on the first performance they hear of it. Those would were interested and would've liked to take it further would have looked into it, no need to have a hernia over it.

Very nice for 1 week of practice and no previous training. The Theremin is a very unforgiving instrument and I admire your efforts. Keep it up :)
