  • i try to cover this too. check my video out :D watch?v=aEIku_S1pfg

  • Nice picking, man. I enjoyed listening.

  • excellent tune and playing!

  • that was awesome!!! I think I´ll use this video to learn this song^^ you nailed it! congrats! It must have taken a lot of work!

  • Way to nail that intro part. Great job.

  • Awesome dude! Did you pick it out by yourself or did you use any tabs? I would really like to learn how to play this song, so if it´s possible, make a tab for the song. I think it would be very appreciated. =)

Anyway, nicely played =) Keep on jammi'n.

  • the intro was awesome O.ô the rest of the song is really fun to play!

    good job dude!

  • half step down

  • very good playing

  • That's just great ,I am starting to work on this one right away so I can post it 10 years from now:-)

  • Good stuff!!! You are VERY talented. If you can start *writing* material at this level, you'll be huge - guaranteed.

  • best cover ive ever seen

  • You have the feel of this tune nicely. You play it very much like the original and that must be fun as it is an interesting tune to pick for both hands. Personally I would try to change it up a bit and make it more in my own style. Trouble is it is not an easy tune to master let alone change. That is why I stopped playing others tunes (too hard to master the styles) and started trying to come up with my own not very perfect ones. Very well done though for getting to grips with this tune.

  • wow !

  • just wonderful

  • wow great playing man!

  • I'm sorry but..

What do you call the technique that he uses at 00:46? Like when he strums down the chord and uses his right index to brush the strings. Is it some kind of harmonic technique? someone please clue me in!

  • those are called harp harmonics. Lenny Breau may have been the first to use them back in the 70's, but a lot of great players are good at them today. The late Michael Hedges, Brent Mason, Adrian Legg, Scotty Anderson and of course Tommy Emmanuel to name a few. Check out Lenny Breau's recently re-issued "Swinging on a Seven String" to hear where it all started. Neat stuff!

  • Jazz players like Django Reinhardt have been doing it (40's) on songs like The Man I Love and Improvisation 1. Flamenco and Classical players like Luise Walker have also been doing that technique as well for a while; since the 30's

  • how did you learn that? Did you use a tab or something? It sounds just like the real song from Tommy Emmanuel!! Good Job man!

  • Just curious, how did you learn this? Book? ear? Very good job. I'm only like 20 seconds in but it sounds spot on.

  • You play really nice!:) Try to work on this one a little bit more;P Cheers!

  • Excellent job man!

  • man this is the REAL blues!

  • Sorry just found a few of your tunes.

  • Great job and a very good copy of Tommy's style of playing. I gave up trying to play others' tunes eventually as I kept changing them to my style. In the end I just started putting my own on here instead. Do you play any original tunes I am sure they would be interesting to hear?

  • great stuff !

You have a new fan !!

    cheers, wolfgang

  • Your just incredible. Nobody on youtube could do it better. Added to favs, Fives stars and a subscription. Keep um coming and Ill keep watching.

  • you nailed it again, my friend! if i close my eyes, i CANNOT tell the difference between you and TE's technique on this song... i just wish youtube had decent sound fidelity...because i am sure there would be no tonal difference either (everything on youtube sounds like it is broadcasted through a toilet-paper tube)... ***** This video posted on the Acoustic Virtuosity archives (again... I know great when I hear it!). Peace, bro...

  • Kompliment! Du kommst dem Tommy E. Groove schon sehr nahe.

  • Man, you keep getting better and better...music to my ears man, 5*s

  • Wow..i've never seen someone like you playing just like Tommy. I can feel the groove~ Well done man~

  • The Slide!

  • Fantastic! You're the best Tommy Copy there is. Heino Hermann c.g.p.
