The video quality is good but it's pretty shaky. A simple way to get rid of that is a pocket-sized gizmo called a readysteady.

what annoys about the cameras sounds is that annoying crackle...

Kingone I had a thought for getting pictures out of the video on the Vado.

Couldn't you, (When you get up the picture you want), pause it and take a Screen Capture, (by pressing "Alt Gr and PrtSc at the same time), open Paint paste it into that and then save that as a jpeg) or alternatively, bring the video into Windows Movie Maker, get the scene up you want a shot of, pause it and press the "Take Picture" button or another program that has that ability? What do you think?

when you update the firmware..

did the audio also improved???

bcoz it has 56kbps bitrate & sampling rate/frequency is only 14000...

No, you can't take still pictures with the Vado.

Vado records in awesome quality but once you upload to Youtube and watch in normal quality it looks not so great as on the PC. Actually Photobucket is much better at preserving the original quality. But if you watch it on YouTube in high quality it looks SO MUCH BETTER.
