  • Nice weapon but - Eotechs work much better with a flip up front sight. The sight picture is cluttered with stationary front sights.

  • Same shit I would do in my living room.

  • how do u make the eotech stay on target i have a 552 military ?

  • aimpoint is better, lighter, longer lasting, has dust covers, and the list keeps going.

  • where did you get this?

  • holy shit!!! no parallax?!!! i need one

  • Oh nevermind .223...

  • Nice! What model is your firearm?

  • Watch someone walk through that door (SCREAM !!!!!)

  • im gona migrate from uk to us just to legally own guns

  • @rawdenashitey You can't own guns at all in the UK? Not even with special permits?

  • @rawdenashitey just a fyi you basically need a licence to carry a sharpened stick in fucking mass or california... I might be over exaggerating a bit but you get the point.

  • i see a face on your kitchen wall.

  • Eotechs are my favorite too, just wish they could improve battery life. I mean it will be hard to beat the 80,000 hrs that aimpoints get, but 10,000 hrs shouldn't be that difficult.

  • how do u make the sight stay on target?

  • EOtech is the best in my opinion. the holographics are way better than the reflex sights for paralax. nice gun but bore sighting is only half the battle. trigger time is the only true way to zero a firearm.

  • Nice Firearm. I'm living in Australia. The Australian Government thinks (becuase of 1 or 2 Crazy People) all people are bad and that firearms like these are bad and no one should have one (excluding criminals. Naturally!) 5555 and nice sight. Good job!!

  • is this a replica or a real onefor 500$?

  • What rear sight is that?

  • @mysterysniping: ur stupid

  • I like your work I just can't figure out how to use it for my sight

    Thanks Pat

  • can u shoot while the laser bullet is inthe gun

  • @mysterysnipingpc It dosen't look like anyone has anwsered your question so i will: No you cannot, the "laser bullet" is like a little laser pointer shaped like a rifle cartridge that goes into the chamber to aid in boresighting. There is no live ammo present and therefore you cannot discharge the firearm.

  • Best way to put a zero on your rifle is shooting it. Nothing more importtant than trigger time. I spent 6 years in the military and I'm currently a police officer and to stay sharp I shoot all the guns I carry once a week. I run a Daniel Defense M-4 V2 with a aimpoint comp M-4. Ammo I use is Lake City M885 62g Penetrator its the same rounds we used in the military (green tips) I bought 2000 loose so I use the same rounds to shoot that I carry on duty.

  • @Officizer Stop fucking showing off on youtube, it isnt gonna get you laid here.

  • @wizenedchimp wow just throwing my 2 cents in. If I was showing off I would post my videos wait that is a good idea.

  • Cool

  • whoever walks thorough that door is guna shit thier pants

  • Great video.

I wish I had of found this video when I was first trying to understand red dot sights.

  • What flip up rear sight do you have?

  • Quality Job--Well done !!

  • Your rear sight, what make/brand/model is it?

  • holographic

  • Where did you get the laser ammo from?

  • this is black magic

  • Witchcraft!

  • 0.48 THE WALL ON THE VERY RIGHT LOOKS LIKE AN EVIL SIMLEY FACE

  • Thanks, I always wondered how EOTechs worked

  • f-that.. keep the original FSB

  • dumb inbred redneck

  • @xXSgtWolfXx

dont go dissin anyone with a gun... theyll go shoot you.

  • @xxxcivilwarguyxxx i have guns, i'll shoot them.

  • @xXSgtWolfXx

    what guns ya got?

  • I've always wondered about the laser bullet. I didn't see the need until you explained it. That makes so much sense. Thanks for posting the vid.!

  • Is it safe to dry fire on a bore sighting laser like that????

  • The post has come off the target but the dot is still on it??? 3:32 Doesn't the gun shoot where the posts are lined up?? Don't understand.

  • @ed11561 The posts are still lines up in reference to the target. His point of view was not. This is intended to work in instances where you arent always lined up on your sights but still want to be able to fire.

  • those round things and the rail on the right side of your door totally look like a smiley face!

  • @Anssui i was just thinking the exact same thing XD

  • You look like a young david bowie. Nice sight, I prefer Eotech, but it seems like everyone wants those Aimpoint Comp T1's these days...

  • That is a nice fucking Armalite

  • I have this on my Colt .22, works great! I give it a thumbs up.

  • i like the stock handguard better :D it looks sexy

  • Why dont you just go to the range and zero it?

  • @kip151 bc it will save him ammo by not having to adjuct inmensely and instead just have to fine tune it for watever range he uses it for

  • @kip151 - Because bore-sighting the weapon first as he has done here will save you time and ammo when you go to the range to zero.

  • time to up grade that handguard to rail system lol..

  • great vid....just what i was lookin for....i just built a daniel defense m4 and am having the hardest time deciding between EO and aimpoint but now im def. leaning towards EO.....i never had the chance to use either sight and dont know any1 who has one. so its a big decision. lol

  • Nice video we did a review on this optic as well if you would like to check it out.

  • how is this supposed to work in battle?

  • For all of you who dont know, the Eotech mitigates "parallax". Parallax being the apparent movement of the sight or optic on the target due to movment of the shooters head. This is why the holographic reticle (not a dot, which is a different technlogy) stays on the target. Eotech utlizes hundreds of small holographic images to produce a parallax free optic, vs a red dot which uses a shaped collamator or dichroic mirror to reflect the projection of a red dot into the shooters eye. Good shootin

  • @superagno because the bullet has a sight on it

  • Absolutely the coolist vid on that...

and yes, the bullet on the paper without wasting rounds...

    Great dude...

  • Some times I would take the upper off and lock it in a vice. then you could look through the scope and through barrel then line them up. Point it out a window at a point 50/100 yards away.

  • Hello... where I can I buy a stand/mount like the one that the m4 is standing in?

  • Hello... where I can I buy a stand/mount like the one that the m4 is standing in?

  • nice vid man im sold. what model EoTech is that? oh and you should get an adams arms gas piston to replace your front sight, i bought one for my 6.8 last week and it is NICE.

  • how do EOtech sights actually work?

  • I just don't understand what you need a laser bullet for. A real bullet doesn't fly in a straight line.

  • @Mrhhartge3 .. well first off I dont shoot bullets in my kitchen to sight in my optics, and second I CAN CURVE A BULLET. I learned it from Angelina Jolie LOL. also, I dont have a lazer that doesnt go in a straight line yet.

no man, really, the laser bullet is to help sight in a scope, it will get your bullet on the paper, then you can fine tube it from there. I would not sight in my rifle with that thing and then go straight out to hunt or use as LEO, I would hit the range first.

  • @helzmcfugly your too old to say "lol" so yea...well anyway should i get this EOtech or the 1 with the big circle or the cheaper ACOG version with the red dot? iam looking forward to a scope that will allow me to aim easier while in a CQB game with a full face mask on coz i currently have a iron sight and i cant aim down that for shit with a mask on.

  • @helzmcfugly LOL, good comeback. I can also curve a bullet

  • @Mrhhartge3 its really for old school rifles where they have two point rail mounts. Those scopes line up harder so you estimate with the boresight laser and then adjust for alignment. They usually start on 30yards then they made elavation and windage changes at 100. On ARs i can sight them in without a boresight.

  • @Mrhhartge3 within reasonable ranges you would use a defensive carbine, (50 yards and less) that bullet is going to drop so minutely it would be almost like a laser. 50 yards out, you start using bullet drop formulas to compensate.

  • @spazzz64 actually, it doesn't drop minutely at all... from 0 to 75 yards, the bullet is actually 2 inches under the targeted point, at 75 yards, it crosses the target at 75, carries on going up... peaks at about 225 yards... about 2 inches over the target... then falls until at 300 yards, where it crosses the target again, and then keeps on falling after that

This is due to the sights located 2-3 inches above the barrel, hence requiring a convergence of trajectory at 75 yards for accuracy

  • @Mrhhartge3 Such a stupid comment.

  • @Mrhhartge3 join the army, become an officer, join the artillery brigade... you'll learn some stuff about how they aim... esp with the motar... they don't look at the sky... they look in the distance... but they caliberate the same bloody way as rifles are, a frigin laser bullet into the ceiling.

  • @Mrhhartge3

It's called a boresighter... you put it in the chamber and look down the optic, if the laser dot is in the middle of the reticle the gun should be sighted in.

  • @Mrhhartge3 in close engagements a bullet flyes approximately in a straight line...

however also if you got to sight a scope, you want it sight straight ahead because no scope or sight know what bullet drop or wind are... only the shooter can take those things in count

  • @uncopino not necessarily... snipers adjust their scopes using the dials to compensate for wind and bullet drop

  • @Mrhhartge3 It's to match your scope cross hairs with where you muzzle is. It really does a nice job and you hardly have to do much in the way of adjustments unless you need to compensate for range or windage.

  • lucky

  • how effective are those laser bullets?

  • Sweet. We did not have anything like that back in 82 and I barely qualified with rifle but did well with the Colt 1911. What was the military thinking when they switched to 9MM?

  • very cool and helpful, thanks

ive been pondering ordering an eotech for some time now. can you move the the unit slightly forward? will it clear the delta ring?

  • Anywho I have heard the battery life is very very short, an example being if you were to leave it on for a week on full power it would kill the battery.

  • @Spelunker0211 Why the hell would you leave it on for a week on full power?? lol

  • YOU LOOK LIKE BOWIE !

  • you should get a gas block so you can get rid of that front iron sight

  • yea, I really do. ive been procrastinating that for some time now.

  • @helzmcfugly u kinda look like steve tyler

  • LOL, I hear Mic Jagger more then Steven.

  • @helzmcfugly which EOTech model do you have??? and would a 512.A65 perform the same way as your model and would you recommend buying it???

  • @helzmcfugly but if you get rid of the front sight then you won't have a co-witness anymore...

  • How much was the laser bullet you used for sighting in? Where did you get it? Thanks.

  • @spladdict if u have different types of guns u can get a laser thing that u stick down the barrel for like 20 dollars

  • nice vid didnt realize the eotech did that with the red dot. im think im getting it.

  • wat does CQB stand for???

  • Close

    Quarters

    Combat

Like he is doing where you will be shooting in a room or close enough for your victim to feel the flash.

  • thats CQC, CQB stands for Close Quarters Battle

  • You say tomato I say tomoto say fucking thing but hay, thanks for "clarifying" that for us.

  • Close Quarter Battle.

    Theres also:

    CQC - Close Quarter Combat.

    CQD - Close Quarter Defense.

  • u look kinda like the green goblin

  • I eat my greens

  • those red dots look good on blue UN helmets =)

  • @helzmcfugly lmfao jolly green giant man

  • @helzmcfugly 3:28 It looks as though you've come off the target-which you really haven't. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT AT ALL. Can you explain that to me please. If you're moving the rifle all over the place-how can the target be the same?? Thanks in advance

  • @ed11561 He's not moving the rifle. You're moving your point of view.Notice his rifle was stationary the camera representing his eyesight was what was in motion.Make sense?

  • @ed11561 He's not moving the rifle if the rifle moves the point of impact moves. When the dot is moving around you're moving your point of view.Notice his rifle was stationary? The camera representing his eyesight was what was in motion.Make sense?

  • nice gun

  • nice flash hider you got there, that come with it?

  • you should get the 557 and show it =]

  • yea they are nice but I dont need it as Ive added a railed front stock to this rifle so I can put my Eotech as far forward as I need. but the reticle in 557 is very nice.

  • how well does it work with 3x or 4x optics do you know?

  • perfectly. if you turn the brightness down a bit it makes the dot really clear. I would say its as clear & effective as a trijicon with the benefit of being able to kick your magnifier over to the side.

  • nice

well you convinced me man im getting it

ive been going back and forth between Eotech and Aimpoint

but i think that Eotech wins for CQB

    which is what i need

  • Like the tutorial. Where did you get the mount to hold your gun during the sighting process?

    LM

  • Are you seriously man ?Do you really need to adjust that eotech sight at that close range ? Best idea is to use it beyond 200 to 300 yards . Come on u should adjust it at the range.

  • are you serious? Do you really think I sight my optics in, in my kitchen. Someone asked me why the dot stays on target when the irons dont when you move your head. I think its very clear this video was to show how the dot will stay on target no matter where it is on the screen as you move your head. and why the cheapo's dont work as well. NOT how to sight it in at 25 feet. if you look back a couple posts you would have seen this.

  • got it. Who the hell asked you that stupid question ? lol

  • they asked because, like my setup, they had iron sites with the eotech in the middel and when they are aiming with dot the irons appeared to be way off target and they didnt understand why.

  • yeah you use the iron sight when you ran out of the battery. Easy.

  • hey great vid man i love it, i was in my kitechn screwin around after this vid!!

  • What model of EOtech is it?

  • its the 552.D1: EOTech Military NV

  • nice vid now iknow how the eotech sight work 5\5

  • how much does that model cost?

  • It was around $500

  • yea they do.

  • This might be a dumb question- Do all EOtechs stay on target like that? What model is that?

  • its sighted in at 50 yards and shoots 1" MOA at that range. This video was to show how the basics of the holagraph work.

  • You have to sight your Eotech in much farther than that, 27 meters at least. I would do 50 meters.

  • GG&G Multiple Aperture Device

  • What BUIS is that?

  • Thanks for the vid! I didnt know the EOtech dot worked like that.
