proem is one of those idm artists who releases purely timeless stuff. i enjoy it even more now than i did when i used to carry negativ in my discman back in my high school days going on eight-nine years ago just from the added nostalgia. great music, nothing like it.
@AphexDreamer He's a great graphic designer as well, fell in love with him when he was apart of the legendary Florida label M3rck Records(R.I.P.). I know he's got a site & affiliated with N5MD Records. Nothing new on info though on seeing him live outside of those sources.
in regards to the video, there's a sing on the building at 2:17 saying GAST + something and POST = therefore one of the german-speaking countries, however at those times german signs as well as speaking german was both common in other areas than what is known today as Austria and Germany..hard to tell, might be mix of all too..why don't we just ask author!
@sypater oh indeed radiohead stole their ideas from Autechre 2 years before they were even formed right? get a grip on reality and lay off the weed once n a while if your thinking radiohead stole music.
@sypater Im confused on what your getting at. Are you saying thats a good thing that they captured the mood of auctechre? If so then i guess i misread into what you were saying in your previous post.
no shit!!!! someone here on our turf, and he's been in the game since99 and all these years stuck on aphex&uziq not that it is a bad thing nobody compares but i do like this richard kid a bunch, maybe im bold for saying so id have to say i like his stuff better than autechre!sorry booth/brown, texas raised has it together....
I can't believe he lives in Houston. I live here and had no idea such talent was right at my door step. I'd love to see him live, can't get any info though. He sounds more like arovane to me.
this CAN'T be belarus because of the mountains at the background of the video. belaurus is almost flat.
architecture doesn't seem to be russian as well.
to me these builidings look rather build by germans (characteristic roofs) and most likely it somewhere is central europe in the territory of pre-2ndworld-war germany or austria.
maybe poland or czech. rep or even todays germany? who knows? :)
@drumfreak1350421 Richard D James? Nope, never. lol I've been a fan of his for years, soundscape genius, teen prodigy and the link between Brian Eno and Mu-Ziq schools of thought. Love his work, least favorite album was his most pop accessible; Come To Daddy. Felt like a sell out album but it brought so many to listen to ambient/IDM, even if it deviated from his trademark sound to show Trent Reznor "I can do it too". lol
Such a music, such a video! I love Proem's music, all of them. The pictures in this video reminds me my home, Hungary, the rural landscape. It was a good choice to make a video like this!
high as fukk and this song is like a heaven.. all my friend says what the hell.. but ill say this is more than music.. its like a heaven.
