I get teary eyed every time i see this. It reminds me of the times when Disney cared about quality, story, and magic. When I first saw this, it sealed my decision to be an animator. The shot of the crocodiles at 1:02 was reanimated for the special edition. This is relevant because it was among other reanimated shots that were supposedly part of the "original theatrical release" on the dvd. Some ppl9me not included) don't like that.

I completely agree. As I've said several times before, everything about the Lion King was perfect. The animation,the story, the music, the characters just everything. It definitely deserved to to win best picture. I don't know what movie won best picture back in 94-95 but the Lion King should have at least been nominated even if it didn't win.

The books are the facts but each lion should look a little different. Think of the resemblance of Mountau and Simba, Taka and Ahadi, they all look diffrent. So I'm not sure what to believe. The Lion King is based on Shakespear's Hamlet, not your cheap Kimba crap. Try reading it sometime and you'll realize that.
