You know, when I first started watching, I thought your voice was pretty funny. After the vid was done though, ..... well I still thought your voice was funny. Thanks for the review.
This game is about Japanese as you can get, you can't really get any "more" Japanese than this.
Not sure as why you are surprised that this is from Japan when quite a few of the most popular anime are mech series, in which the "storyline" and "mech designs" look JUST LIKE VANQUISH.
This is like assuming all American movies suck because you happened to watch the most celebrated Cowboy movie and you hated it because you couldn't relate to it. Not all anime are the same.

wtf.... y do you keep on talkin about Naruto, thats almost completely irrelevent. I hate Naruto. And if the game only lasts 6 to 8 hours and doesnt have a multiplayer then why rate it so high? It better have an extremely good storyline with a lot of character development and plenty of replay value for you to do that. Otherwise I really dont see how its this game could be rated a 9 apart from gaphics and maybe gameplay.
Great review, totally agree. With Bayonetta and now this Platinum has proved that the move to sega hasn't done anything but given them freedom to continue being awesome. Two GOTY contenders from a small team with a much tinier budget then the Rockstars they compete against. Original games and idea's.. I'm blind buying their next game now.

LOL at all the anime hate in this review, when the game itself is based on Japanese Anime. You know, Naruto isn't the only anime out of Japan right? I mean, just this one review reminds me of animes ranging from the Gundam series and TTGL to Code Geass and Evangelion. I mean, they're fighting giant robots in Mechs. That's as anime/manga as you get.
@morganraynerphil I have seen a lot of people playing Fallout New Vegas on my XBL Friends List - I still think that there is too much tedium with that game; it feels like I am CONSTANTLY worrying about something...Just my opinion; then again, it is a blast. I loved Fallout Tactics back in the day - I really wish they'd release some sort of demo...

@yarksnaw Hahaha :D Yeah, I know - Ryan and I decided to keep the references "connected" throughout the review to keep everything flowing (I guess or at least hope so!). Anyways, I DO find it quite interesting that a Japanese developer made this game - you'd really never know!
@Flavor88 Did you get it recently? It is definitely a great game and if you absolutely love third-person shooters with cover mechanics (and heck, fast-paced games) in my opinion you cannot go wrong with this one. ;) I hope they continue this series with Vanquish 2 - if they don't I'd be hugely disappointed!! -Robby
Just to let you know, i think this game is (so far) a pretty darn good length. I haven't finished it yet, but I am getting to some VERY unique areas of the Space Station *drools*
