The first time i tried being raw - i did it for just over 3 weeks. Phenomenal. One incident i remember distinctly. I was on the train coming home. and someone got on the train with Chinese food. Talk about me being sick. They were 4 seats down from me, and i could literally smell the rottenness of the meat, and the spices that was added to cover it up. No one seemed to smell it but me. I was sweating and felt so bad. I barely made it away from that area. I had to move way down on the other side
You are so young and so mature at the same time, this information it's been out there for quite some time now, but almost nobody gives a royal fuck!! I just finished a 15 day water fasting, and I'm really thinking going raw, I completely understand what it feels like to live around people how devour meat all the time. You are an inspiration.............<3 =)
Hi, I did a project 2 years ago on MSG, so I know all the dangers and the many many names. I don't think I've heard of Gelatin though. I know gelatin is animal bones and tendons and connective tissue etc..so is it also MSG?
I've started the raw diet. Hoping for the best. I LOVE sugar so it's hard. What goes in the green smooth? I do bodyweight workouts so do you know which plant has the most protein? Thanks for you inspiring videos. P.S. You're hott! I'd meet your meat.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Your one smart kid. Keep spreading the word. You have great presense, and a unique inspirational way of expressing yourself. You will go far young man. Raw for life!!!! :)
Oh yesss, blueberries are my number 1 favorite fruit. Followed by mango, papaya, coconut, pears...okay wait I'll stop now because there is no fruit I hate. (Obviously haven't tried noni yet lol). Keep up the good work, you have such a positive vibe, love it!
theres sugar in cigerettes dats why one main reason ppl who smoke have a hard time quitin!!! I use to be smoker but have now been clean for over a yr now...and counting!
lol I remember this author whom I like and respect, he said to get kids to stop eating junk food.. take them to a cemetery and then set a happy meal (with fries) on top of a grave..
Thankyou for giving a plug for the poor animals that live a miserable existence only to die a tortuous death at the hand of man. Yea for the age of enlightenment. So far removed from the dark, barbaric age. ha! Anyway, keep it up and good luck with the Raw journey. There's no better menu!!
You're awesome. Thanks for the advice about green drinks to help with cravings/addictions! Thanks for doing the research and sharing it with other people. And um, yeah, this is my "raw food vibes" for you haha. Keep on keepin' on.
You vegans especially the raw ones look so crazy from all those high levels of Epinephrine and cortisol constantly circling in your blood as well as terrible mineral and vitamin deficiency it is not even funny. Actually guys you scare me.
I never thought of my self as the boogy man. Oh well, lol. Im tired of this labeling BS, I eat what makes me feel good. Cooked food doesnt make me feel good, raw food makes me feel good. Why the fuck would I eat some thing that doesnt make me feel good? Every one else can eat what they want, I dont bug em. For the record though, this dude above is weird to begin with. Eating raw doesnt mean you join a cult all of a sudden, matter of fact I dislike numerous vegans. Eat what makes you feel good.
Also if you're not eating grains, you are probably having a B12 deficiency, since B12 is only found in animal derived products, so then you would definitely need to to fortify your B12 with fermented soy products such as tempeh, seaweed nori and chlorella or fortified foods necessary -- like soy milk, cereals
David Wolfe says B12 is also found naturally in soil, so if you occasionally get some, like don't wash the celery when you juice, you'll get some of that LOL.
Even if he were to develop a deficiency in B12, it would take years of no B12 consumption and inadequate production of it in the body for that to occur as the body of a SAD-eater (and I always like to include Canadians when I say "American") maintains high stores. B12 is the only thing left in the raw veganism can of worms, and I intend to keep consuming my high-fruit & greens diet with plenty of sunshine and sport to prove that I am not deficient in anything for the rest of my long life.
I had a B12 defficiency when I was eating meat. Wasnt till I did a herbal parasite cleanse and purged a fuck load of worms till the defficiency went away. Im raw, im healthy, I've had my blood tested my condition is perfect on all levels. :)
I was reading some of the comments and there's something I don't get... You don't eat grains or milk?! Not even soy milk? I'm sorry, but I'm actually studying nutrition, and your body absolutely NEEDS grains to function. Also, I hope if you're not drinking any milk at all, not even soy, that you are getting calcium through supplements or eating adequate amounts of things like kale, broccoli or almonds.
The body does not need grains to function. You can get all the calcium the body needs from green leafy vegetables and nuts. You don't have to take supplements either.Just because you are studying nutrition doesn't make you an expert.I think the main reason we are so confused when it comes to what good nutrition is,is because we have to many so-called experts.Everybody's an expert but no one is telling the whole truth. You can get all the nourishment you need from fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds
I guess that's where the 'study of nutrition' loses it's credibility. Humans don't need grains to function at all. Grains are bird food and actually contain several opiates which can attribute to their addictive qualities. What essential nutrients are in grains that you feel are not available in fruits, vegetables, nuts & seeds?
And why would the particular mineral calcium be of greater importance than other minerals? Most who need calcium do so because they're depleting it with excess protein
i dont have any friends that are into health and i dont have support so if anyone wants to talk, that would be great! i'm really glad i found this video its really awesome =)
hi everyone im nicole im 16 and im trying to go completely raw. i dont eat meat, or eggs, or grains or anything like that thank the lord! but its really hard to eat all raw because my parents aren't into it and i still live with them and im so young. it's just the most frustrating thing watching my family eat terrible food and use toxic cleaners and detergents and all that.
I came home from work and fancied some bread, it was just sitting there on the counter giving me funny looks! I made a green smoothie and ate half a melon instead. Phew! Just keep going strong man, as you already know to eat more raw foods, and by making these videos, before you know it you will fulfill your own prophocy
Another thing, right on with knowing the science behind the nutrition. I think that is where many vegans and vegetarians alike fall short. The phytochemicals in a plant based diet are the best thing that can ever go into your body. Period. I don't typically comment videos but I just had to let you know you've got major support. Keep up the good work!
ok, first off, i've seen a few of your videos and, i have to say, you are BEYOND rad! i totally feel your pain as far as living in a non-vegan household. it's not so much a challege when the basis of your diet is purely ethical, but the real challenge is when your family just doesn't get it! it's taken me a few years but my family have finally started to see the light. =] So i'm pretty stoked about that. At any rate, i'm sure your parents will do the same.
Bro i feel for you lol its the exact opposite for me we are decided my family to be vegetrains about a year ago so no meat thank God!! now were trying to go raw so am so happy about that it sucks when your family hasn't made the switch i really hope the fallow you in you raw jounrey!!! awesome video
Your awesome dude i really wanna go 100% Raw really soon am a vegetrain right now and now am trying to eat less grains and use the recipes i have found Go Raw people its been around since the beggaining!!!
Fabulous! Way to go! ...especially with all those "temptations" around the house.
My parents just came for a visit and stayed at my apartment. I made raw food for them all week! At times my Dad was less than thrilled, but he did love the cakes and the fajitas!
Good raw food vibes sent! :) I agree with solulacla, I'm finding my taste buds are changing. As for the parents: well, just do your own thing, and remind yourself why you started on this journey and continue onward and upward. Good day from NH!
Delicius breakfast. And, about the tempting sugar all around your house... well, that must be difficult but soon all that "food" will look to you as junk. Your body is intelligent and soon will reject sugar, flour, etc. Keep going! Raw-vegan vibe from México :):):):):):)
You're awesome!
