I know a lot of people have issues with David O'Russel. But Lily seems way out of line here. David tried to calm the tension several times and she kept baiting him. I would have yelled at her too. A director has to keep authority on the set and cannot be usurped by one actor. Actors have no idea how much pressure is on the director and producer.
