For one thing the runner should be safe and awarded third base....a pitcher without the ball cannot be on the mound (or any dirt part on the mound) this is intent to deceive the runner and a balk should of been called ......Bad Call

I wouldn't say that's a cheap play. The ball is in play, and everyone knows where it is. Pitchers sometimes forget that the game is still on after a pitch. But as for the play in this video - this "hidden ball trick" - that's very unsportsmanlike.

it was a 4 run game at the time and ended up being a 6 run game. it's not like lsu picked up any ground in the innings after that one.

the ump certainly took away a great opportunity to put up a few runs, no arguing that. but it's one thing to make a bad call in a 11-5 game and a whole other problem to do it in a nail biter.
