  • why didnt you use the interface to record you talking? loll....

  • can anyone tell me how to use this with garage band please?

  • What is the amp/speaker used for this video?

  • So how do I record music with this if I have a real, non digital amplifier?

  • can i connect my guitar to an amp and then into the ux1..?

can i also use programs like Guitar Rig 5 with the ux1?

    help please :/

  • @TechniqueTV

Yes, if your amp has a lineout. If it doesn't then you can throw a mic in front of your amp and plug the mic into the ux1

  • @Halviez How about if my amp has an auxiliary in?Can i use that to plug this into? My guess is yes unless the signal has to be converted.

  • I've got a new metal song done with the UX1 in my profile called "Art of War" , go check it out of your a metal fan! All self written, recorded and produced!

  • its not as easy to set up bud.

  • GUYS I NEED HELP.I CANT CONNECT MY POD STUDIO UX 2 TO MY MAC BOOK PRO.WHEN I CONNECT THE DEVICE TO MY MAC WITH USB,COMPUTER SAYING I HAVE TO CLOSE THE MACHINE MANUALLY :( CAN ANYONE HELP ME ABOUT THAT.??? THX

  • I am thinking about getting the UX2 for my laptop so i can record again but with better quality.. Amp, Mic, and Audacity just aren't cutting it anymore. Tried recording from my line 6 to my computer and it was terrible. Hit 1 note and hear it a second later. I don't want anymore of that.

  • @bojanklesexperience the gx works awesome for it's price, no latency, and has excellent quality together with guitar rig 4.

  • it is the same sound if i record something with the GX or UX2?

  • how many channels can be recorded simultaneously?

  • can you put a wah pedal in front of this?

  • Hi,

is just buy the UX1. i think its a great device i love it .

Never thought it would be that great.

For example check my cover on little wing on my channel

you hear the sound quality is fenomenal just like a real amp.

  • Hi, i need know what footswitch is compatible with the ux2

  • ok .. it sounds good with guitar, but how does it sound with vocals?

  • can i use a shure sm57 to mic up my spider iv 30 watt amp, and then straight into the UX2, and to my computer? please reply!

  • @ProjectBerklee of course but wouldnt it be easy just using your mic and pod?

  • Can I connect my Roland keyboard to the UX1? With a midi cable.

  • can't trust a reviewer that is incapable of recording voice in a simple video for youtube. sorry.

  • is this better than native instument guitar rig

  • @mx22man I recommend using them together :) like i do. Plug in your guitar to the pod and then the pod to the PC. open your favourite DAW system (pro tools, fl studio, reason, logic, ableton) send the guitar to a mixer track and put guitar rig in the FX stack. then from there create your sound it works very fine :)

  • So can I plug my guitar into my line 6 spider III amp, and then plug the pod studio gx from the other plug in on my amp and then plug the studio gx to my computer so that I can use my sounds from my regular amp to record with? Sorry if it sounds a little confusing.

  • @CallOfTheSirens4 yes essentially you can line out from the amp into the pod and into your computer

  • @CallOfTheSirens4 Not quite, what this effect does is convert the signal from the guitar pick-up and turn it into a digital signal which is fed in the computer. That's it.

On top of that, the product comes with a software which can manipulate this digital signal in as many effects as you want, literally emulating any pedal/effect you could ever think of.

From the computer it must then be fed back into an amplifying system which can be ur amp, computer speakers or headphones.

  • @CallOfTheSirens4 thats a recording object, try to record with amp dirctrly to your cpu. i dont think u'll have a good soung

  • i jus got the ux2 and tried using all the softwares but they all seem to be only demos. which one can i use to record vocals?

  • I have the line 6 guitar pod ux1. I connect everything there is in the box, i have my usb plugged in, and my headset plugged into the pod, and my guitar in the guitar input. I have installed all the software, but i don't hear any sound... Can someone help me please?

  • @Metaldude1945 I had this problem too. Download the sound card driver (Line6.com). Start the POD Farm program, and set the inputs (the sound card have 4 input, but you can use 2 in one time). If you want 2 lines at one time, you need to click the dual button. When you finished, set the outputs. You just hear anything when the POD Farm program is running (and just in your UX1 outputs).

I hope I can help you (My english isn't the best, I know :D).

  • @manocset will it work with win. 7?

  • @kingvictor007 Principle yes, but I didn't test in 7.

  • @manocset thank you very much brother:)

  • @kingvictor007 Your welcome:)

  • Anyone know the name of the song in the beginning?

  • @GetBent92 That just a demo to a Line6 pedal. You can find in the Line6 website.

  • Hey Im sellin my Line 6 POD Studio GX on eBay, search username "revalitas"!

  • some pretty stupid comments here :v

  • Can I get a edited solo on the POD UX2 without having it connected to my computer?

  • ▋▋84.817 Tones POD XT LIVE line6 2.0 Pocket X3 STUDIO▋▋

  • Is it powered from USB, power adapter or batteries?

And when you connect it, do you connect it to the audio inputs on your computer or what?

  • @Zaptagious

The UX2 is USB bus powered, it will become your soundcard, so this means every sound will come out of the device (if you leave it connected)

  • what about bass?

  • @BassAgainst watch it again he just said 5 bass amps and 5 bass cabs :)

  • @jmannunez i mean that he didnt play a bass to test the sound...

  • @BassAgainst oh...

  • Does anyone know if this works with Windows 7? I heard there was an issue with latency on windows 7 :/ Thanks.

  • @the1tobzster I run my UX1 with Pod Farm no problem on windows 7

  • @GoodOldDeathMetal do you have to have it connected to your pc to get specific tone?

  • @NiceUjabuja It only works by connecting it to your pc... thats what it does. You plug it in the usb port and run the included program pod farm. In pod farm you can construct tones using simulated amp models and equipment, or choose from a variety of factory preset tones. Its a great tool for recording high quality guitar tracks.

  • @GoodOldDeathMetal I cant even get the sound of my guitar or mic into my pc. I have instaled all the drivers and I have pluged in my UX1 into my USB port. BUT I CANT GET THE DAMN THING TO WORK!!! PLZ HELP!

  • is there much diffrence in recording quality between the GX, UX1 and the UX2?

    thanks

  • hey man, i wanna get sumthing for a heavy, hardcore/metalcore tone, but i also wana record. would it be better to get one of these or the pod 2.0?

  • @slipknotman012345678 I think you can get your favored sound on both of those things. The studio ux1 or ux2 is made for recording, you need a computer if you want to use it.

The pod is a preamp. Of course it can be used for records too, but you need some additional equipment.

Do you want to have your own "studio" or do you want to play gigs etc.? That's the question you should ask yourself.

  • @kleinebudde yeah. imostly want sumthing for recording. cuz i know with the pod. u need to buy an interface

  • @slipknotman012345678 Yes, you need a final stage ( power amplifier ).

  • @kleinebudde lol. an amp? not an interface

  • @slipknotman012345678 What do you mean with interface? The POD is a preamp so like I said you connect it to a final stage, which can be a power amplifier. You can also connect to your computer speakers or headphones, whatever...

  • @kleinebudde im saying if i got the pod 2.0 i would need an audio interface

  • Are there drum tracks available while recording? Or at least a metronome? And can I layer multiple guitar tracks?

    Thanks

  • @nikkjaer

not in podfarm, Podfarm is only use to create the tone. Recording goes tru a DAW like Reaper, FL studio, Audacity, Ableton live to name a few and about the metronome of drums that depends on the DAW.

  • can u use pod gx 1 to play into an amp?

  • Do I have to use an amp to use this? I want to play through my computer for recording. What do I do?

  • @zigzaghookie put it to your usb port, install drivers and go

  • WHy is it I can't hear shit when I plug in the UX1 into my cpu and try and play through POD Farm? any1 help?

  • @RandomDude5656 its not really a plug and listen operation. you will need to have headphones to hear the signals going into the ux2. or you will need to have it connected to your reference monitors.

  • @Masharbashboi so if I plug in my earphones I could hear it? orr...? i got da ux1

  • @RandomDude5656

yeah if you plug headphones in you will be able to hear it.

the out put signals arent going through the usb to your computer and out of your computer speakers, they are going to the headphone jack and to the 2 analog outputs in the back .

  • @Masharbashboi The headphone inout on the ux1 or the computer? Cuz the input for the ux1 is too big for any headsets i got.

  • @RandomDude5656

on the ux1. they make adapters that are like one dollar that you plug your normal head phone into and then on the other end its a 1/4 jack ( the size of the headphone output on the ux1) you can find these any where really. just ask the people at your local best buy or radio shack.

  • is there any tone quality diffrence between the ux1 and ux2?

  • @wolfman109h no tone difference at all. the only difference is the extra inputs and the phantom power.

  • just got mine today...GX...i installed all CD's and when I try to play through the GX all I hear is feed back...any help???

  • does the UX1 have phantom power?

  • anybody know if you could hook this to a p.c then to an amp for band rehersles?

  • I need the sound of a lot of diff amps and pedals but have limited space and money I play a lot of diff songs that Require diff tones sounds ect.

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery get the floor board

  • can u use this to play live?

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery why would you even want to do that?

    use a freaking amp dude

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery

yes you can. you´ll need a notebook on stage though. the outs go from the ux directly into the pa speakers

  • @hideki12345 thank you

  • @mrlandroverdiscovery

    youre welcome

  • HOW DO YOU RECORD WITH POD FARM????

  • @BatteryOperated13

you will need a daw program like cubase, nuendo, ableton etc. (I´d recommend REAPER)

open it , create a new track, arm for recording, hit record. there ya go

  • What is the guitar he is using with the whammy bar????

  • Comment removed

  • @BlakeGretsch Music Man Axis

  • does the software work with windows xp?

  • can the studio gx be used to record with audacity?

  • @LukeBodom

    yeap

  • @SuperAD12345 yes you can

  • @kibbsmycat23 Yes it is, both 32 and 64 bit software:)

  • I Love NevadaMusic. Should I get GX or UX1

  • check out my video in my profile guys, its a song I did with POD farm and a Line 6 UX1. Let me know if you like it.

    Cheers.

  • i swaer to god i hope this works with mac lol

  • @frenchxtoastx87 It does...

  • can somebody answer a question please...

Do you need the Pod Studio for the program on the computer to work.. or any plug in from your guitar to the computer...

  • I have the UX2 and is the shit!!!! everything you can imagine and more right at your finger tips. Every amp and pedal and best of all VERY VERY USER FRIENDLY!!

  • so you just plug guitar into box, box into computer, select sound and record?

  • whats the name of the first song you play on the white guitar? :)

  • Anybody know if thing is good for recording more melodic shite? Like clean reverby telecaster tones . . .

    PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! XD

    Please . . .

  • @AlexDJames Buy the cheapest one; the Line6 Toneport GX. Then, download Amplitube and run your tones from that software; it has way more possibilities than Gearbox.

  • which interface would you guys choose , the line 6 ux 2 or the guitar rig session interface ???

  • @WaldebeatZ £149 or £519 lol Line 6!!

  • Comment removed

  • can you record with this drums.bass.guitars and vocals???

  • I don't know wether I should get this or the pod x3. I want to record and stuff. but I don't know... help?

  • Thank You

  • hey is reason a drum machine or not

  • Question.. does the thing come with a drum machine? like in the program on the computer

  • nope

  • so like

    im confused

this hooks into your pc....and also a cab???!? like a preamp?

  • @Utubesuxmycock with any line6 modeling device (studio pod, gx, X3 etc) you simply connect the DI to your computer, then your speakers/headphones out from the DI... you only use the computer for the front end you see in the video... its ALL you need.. no need for preamps, mics... thats IT.. its actually quite amazing

  • with the UX2, can you have a whole band playing with their amps and still plug into the UX2? Otherwise the UX2 is useless since would only be able to hear one person at a time.

  • just wondering if this thing can record drums or vocals?

  • @IowaRocker81

    It can.

  • @IowaRocker81 It can record vocals if you use a Mic. It features the plug for one mic. So the same goes for drums, although I wouldn't recommend it: you need lots of mics to get a drum sound out well.

  • Does this record sound from the guitar... i know it maybe a retarded question

  • how much is this thang

  • Just bought the cheaper GX like 5 mins ago it was £79.99 but he gave me for £68

  • Does anybody know how to connect a Boss loop station RC-2 to the UX1? When I try, I get no sound.

  • @evysings hey did u get any answer to how to connect pedals to the ux1?

bcause i want to connect my whawha pedal

  • well, I finally figured it out myself. I had to go to the POD farm programme and there I had to choose the right inputsignal. It was still set on microphone.

To connect a pedal, just put the pedal inbetween the guitar and the UX1, connect the wire to the "instrument"-input and make sure that portal is set in the POD farm programme.

  • I am thinking about purchasing either the UX1 or the UX2. Is the UX2 worth the extra money? What are the differences between the two?

  • @BlindFoldsAsidee ux2 has 2 mic inputs and 2 guitar inputs gain controlers for the mic and phantom power

  • I'm in a small band right now and we want to record a few tracks for a demo. Would the UX2 be something to buy, because I found one for $125 used in the box and everything is still included.

  • anyone know if you can use the gx1 with revalver? and recabinet?

  • hi! how does it work?? i have never used one of these, always played trough an amp, how i should use one of these? i mean should i make this connection: guitar--->amp--->audio interface---->pc

    or

    guitar----->audio interface--->pc

sorry for ignorance but i haven't ever use one of this.....

  • @ivncdo0809 guitar---> podstudio---> pc

  • @ivncdo0809 guitar audio interface.. pc. you wont be able to use your multi media spkrs..

  • when he says includes - does he mean you get ableton live when you buy the line 6 ux2? or is he on about something else?

  • do you have to pay for pod farm if you get the ux1 or gx?

  • No, you get Pod Farm on a CD with either one...

  • Nope, POD Farm is the modelling software that comes with all the POD Studio models.

  • anyone know how i could get a good Converge-Botch-souding tone?? Like "no heroes" by converge....

  • can somebody tell me which audio interface is better line 6 gx or guitar rig mobile ???

  • How come when i connect my amp to the ux2, the sound is shit? my amp is on carpet, so maybe that has a difference? idk, but the ux2 sounds like shit when its coming out of my amp. will it be better if i listen with headphones?

  • ur sopose to connect it stright into comp vis USB, then u get ur sounds from that or POD farm, Guitar Rig 4, ect.

  • idk... my ux1 sounds insane coming out of my marshall... have u tried playing with the amp eq/gain etc

    what amp u using?

  • what happens if im using a laptop and i dont have speaker monitors. only the laptop speakers. would it still work on my laptop speakers?

  • no, you could use headphones tho.

  • my peavey valve king hasn't an output. can i record with him?

  • is it possible to play 2 guitars at the same time?

is the software working on vista?

  • does the ux2 have a EQ for your sound?

  • hi just a couple questions

    1. Does the recording software that comes with this allow you to make your own drum beats? does it come with different type of kits and different drums and cymbals?

    2. If I wanted to record a keyboard, would i be able to plug one into the guitar jack and record?

    thanks

  • you could record keyboard this way.. ive done it before :)... youve just gotta use amps/preamps in podfarm to get sound tho

  • @brokeastring hey thanks dude.

  • I really need help, i cant get my microphone to work through my UX1, can somebody please help? Or does anyone have any advices for things i could try? Thanks.

  • ok i just got the ux2 and i need help. i can use it on the comp with head phones. but how do you use it with an amp? some1 pleease help

  • You can' use it with an amp. The GX, Ux1 and the Ux2 are made for recording and meant a multieffects platform like the regular PODs.

  • i know this seems like a stupid question. I got this for Christmas and the amps and everything sound great. but idk how to record anything with it can someone let me know how??

  • Just open up a recording program like Audacity or Mixcraft, hit record and play.

  • @supermrguitarman It comes with a programme called ableton I believe. You'll be able to record your music with this..

  • i have GX waiting for me @ xmass...

    cant wait : P

  • Same here :)

  • i'm using a line 6 for all my vids, check it if you wonder if it can do good metal tones.

  • I have the UX1, podfarm is a joke the amps sounds horrible. Some of the over the top effects sound OK but they don't have a real use. I use it this way. Guitar > BOSS pedals (for the effect I want) > UX1

  • @roger767 use (cracked or not) guitarrig 3 or amplitube 2 (metal) :P

  • @roger767

no disrespect, but if it sounds shitty, then its because you dont know how to dial in a nice tone. I record with the pod all the time and I am happy with the results

  • how much is the ux2

  • i got a question here:

i just bought me a ux1 and i installed it but when i speak in the mic or play my guitar or whatever the sound is like a tad behind and its rll irraitating when im trying to keep tempo and stuff, does anyone know what could cause this?

    thanks

  • That's the latency. Try installing Asio sound drivers and using those

  • Are there any major differences between UX1 and UX2 apart from extra inputs in UX2 i.e. footswitch? Wondering which one to get cause UX1 is 30 quid cheaper than UX2.
