  • Mighty Mule gate openers are very slow. I have the Mighty Mule 502 and a Buffalo America brand, night and day.

  • That's cool, so you exceeded the limits on the 200 model by a couple of feet.. I like that because I was hoping to get a 14 foot gate on that model Mighty Mule. The price jump to the 350 model is pretty significant. Thank you.

  • @TommyAppleseedS Well, I exceeded the length, but I am way under the max weight. I used an old gate from my wife's family farm. So it's probably 40 to 50 years old and has plenty of history. The rails on the fence next to the gate are left over from an aircraft project my dad did 30+ years ago.

  • how long is the gate?

  • @TommyAppleseedS 14 feet long, weighs about 50 lbs.

  • Gotta love the creaking/growling/farting sound it makes while opening. :-)

    Nice job!

  • @TheGarageDoorGeek Thanks. That noise is awesome in person. Installation was easier than I expected.
