I don't get why this has to be a religious debate. It's not really about the lyrics, it's how pumped the beat gets you. I could listen to a song that just said cat farts over and over again and as long as the beat got me pumped it'd be fine.

Nice selection, I enjoyed quite alot. Nickelbacks cover of saturday night is much better for a pump up song though. And 1000 points to you for including jukebox hero, I love that song. @comrad18 pump up songs are not necessarily about the words being said. the pumped up/focused state is an emotion evoked from the energy of the music itself; the goose-bump factor, and the energy comes from the power of the beat, the drive of the melody, and the passion and fluctuation of the voice, it has little to do with the lyrics themself
