Hey julie it Brandon Banker. thanx for looking at my vid. The bull in the video is a family pet that likes to breed the neighbors limo's. I think he's doing him a favor but until our cows calve he's hangin with the ponies. he's not camera shy is he?
Been off line for a long time... bought a new computer.
Filmed the riding parts on Stetson (the gymkhana horse). Wanted to get some help with him taking him out of the mechaical hackamore and into a snaffle. Also to get some tips to help him settle down a bit. Stetson is a fractional horse on his best days. So it was Stetson's turn to ride the 'Ultimate Horse Course' this year.
Well i had newer videos but actually deleted alot of my stuff over the months and got rid of almost all the more recent ones just a few days ago. We are doing well im just waiting for the weather to improve more. We had a few good days last month but its been all wind and rain and cold again such a shame its been officially spring here for months yet its still feeling winter.
It IS fun Pam. About 20 miles from where you went on your 'Wine Ride' when you visited CA. Really pretty country all back thru there.
Save your pennies and come out next year. We can arrange transport from the Airport to Thacher and back again. They'll put you on a good horse and you'd have a blast. Learn bunches and play with the cattle, ride the trails and EAT lots of good food.
One of the best travel deals around if you ask me and wayyyyyyy cheaper than those 'other guys' charge for less.
Been riding at the Horse Course every year for 4 or 5 years now. Kind of a tradition for me and my horses. Lots of FUN and a beautiful facility, good people.
Richard Winters and his wife Cheryl are truly wonderful folks whom I'm honored to know.
You should make a trip to Thacher for an event, there are many clinics each year. School horses are available and it's GREAT for any level of rider.
There's a few of them Joe. Single ladies with nice trucks and fancy hosses. You should come to Thacher one of these years... I'll introduce you. Better than e-harmony! LOL
Came away from this trip with lots on my mind. HOW to CONTROL that old barrel racer lurking in my head... how to get SOFT and LIGHT with those hands. GOOD RIDER but remembering to ALL WAYS just RIDE that horse FIRST and touch those reins when I HAVE to. Learn to SLOW DOWN it's not all HARD and FAST.
Un buen dia a caballo.
Yo ya tengo ganas de dar alguno de nuevo.
A good day astride.
I already have desire of giving someone again.

Wow, that's a NICE place! Did you bring a horse yourself, Julz?

Took Stetson this year Dea.
You can see his ears in a few scenes. LOL
Thacher School is a beautiful place with excellent facilities. Anything you can imagine to do with a horse, you can do it at Thacher.
