  • So basically this study can only work on patients that have damage to the spinal cord within two weeks? or is this something that may have the potential to treat someone who has been paralyzed for years?

  • .... the FDA previously approved the use of teratoma-derived neurons for clinical trials in stroke patients...or fetal derived stem cells for Parkinson's...the FDA is very open and supportive of new approaches...has long as they are scientificaly sound...

    I wonder why they went for spinal cord injury in otherwise healthy people, and not for a more lethal disease, given the potential risks of tumor formation ....but i guess their preclinical safety data must have been strong
