Ohhh, my all-time favorite by Dennis & The guys. I own this 45, & I treasure it--& the memories of a girl named Tami, who I sung this about every time I did it. GBY Dennis, you are not forgotten my dear friend. Wolfsky9, 64 y/o.
Thanks for posting this song. Sadly, Dennis Yost is no longer with us. He left us some great memories, including this song, which is rarely heard anymore (nor are Change of Heart, Midnight or What Am I Crying For)
One of those underrated songs by a great group. Thanks for posting it. It brought back a lot of memories, some good, some bad. For the record I did run into her and her husband. It's funny but I really felt sorry for the guy and then I felt sorry for me. I guess it was the funniest thing after all. Thanks again for posting it.

Hell of a song! It should have been a huge hit for these guys. Yost is the Most! R.I.P.

You can have your Stormy and Spooky too
There are Traces Every day it's true
This to me is the best thing
The one that made the bell ring
This is a story that cuts like a knife
Whether it's a girlfirend or a wife
The only thing sadder now is to real
We lost our Yost and that's a raw raw deal

This is my favorite song of Dennis Yost and the Classics IV. It has a great flow, empathy, and is a classic nightclub style sound. So smooth.

Always thought Sinatra should have hooked up with Bui/Cobb.
