@windsoord yes, don't direct the device towards the scene... pretty hard to get a good sound anyway, unless your equipment is good... and in that case the security officers won't let you in with that ;)

@windsoord Cover the microphone with your hand. This will cut down the volume, although make it a tiny bit muffled.

@windsoord There's not really anything to do if the mic preamplifier of the camera does not handle loud volumes. If there is connector for external microphone a quality mic might do a better job.

Get a seperate mic for the camera that can stand loud sounds like this. Sennheiser, Rode, or some other companies makes mics for cameras.
