  • Or you could buy one of those 60 cent rubber things that have been around for a decade that you attach to keys and does THE EXACT SAME THING, without the inflation time...meaning it won't sink in the first place.

    Terrible idea.

  • Cahn gives him a filthy look at the end....hahahahaha

  • LOL

  • erm! why are people calling this a stupid product? if I needed to wear a life jacket with these devices in i would be able to move around a lot better! I dont need the bulkyness of the life jacket! I just need it to float if I actually hit the water!

  • Clever idea but...

If those keys drop...it takes 10 seconds to activate...how far have those keys now sunk...

    ...and into what...plantation, reeds, debris...

Very likely the device gets tangled.

  • pretty clever thing :)

  • they already have these.... but they are just those rubber things... they sell them at the water park near my house...

  • I don't mean to be rude, but you are obviously in the group with less than one half, judging by your answer.

The fact that people ARE stupid enough to lose something important like keys is exactly why it is NOT a wasteful pointless invention, and why it will sell... and it will sell well.

That's like saying people who fall off bikes and land on their heads are stupid and deserve it. Maybe so, but that doesn't change the fact that a helmet is a perfectly good, and profitable, invention.

  • what a wasteful pointless invention. tbh, anyone stupid enough to lose something important liek keys or anything whiel on a boat, deserves to lsoe it. you keep it in your pocket or simply leave it where its safe. bad pitch

  • @goth9ever

It's that lack of imagination that will prevent you from achieving any level of success in your life.

  • @MrHowToDoIt no no no, its not a question of imagination, anyone withh alf a rain can be imaginative. its a simply matter or being rational and obvious resoning

  • ah i feel sorry for james. he's a dude

  • that is so stupid!!

  • surley you would have your keys in your pocket on boat, i just cant see the market for this! besides most sensible people have spare keys for any thing of value some where safe. i cant see this going any where, is there a show that shows all so called venters progress, cause i seen a few the dragons backed that were shit.

  • @steviesuperstar yeah, it's called 'dragon's den, what happened next'.

  • Why would you HAVE to have an inflatable balloon? Why not just have some material on the key chain that floats and can float even with heavy objects tied to it? I wouldn't buy this thing because I would always worry if the gas hasn't escaped after months or years or that it won't fire if it is a few years old. If it doesn't fire your keys are lost! With a float-able material you are always sure it will work no matter how much time has passed.

  • Most boats watercraft already have a floater material attached to the keychain.....

  • @TheHoby34 Exactly. This I suppose was meant for the house keys, not the boat ignition key, but wouldn't you just tie the boat key (with the float-able material on it) to the house keys and you are on your way - for free - no waterbouy needed :) I am sure most people would do just that. This thing won't sell.

  • I can't get past the host's squint.

  • i repeat? go to a bank to try for a loan? they will probably give you it....These milllionaires want a £££££££££££

  • @MegaTrainspotter bank pfft you must not be serious they'll eat you alive.

  • @memzmemz? yeah dragons den are doing it 'to help people' oh yeah? it's no wonder we have a bunch of morans running this country.

  • Why don't you just go to a bank mate? They will be a lot more encouraging and will prob over you the money....simples...

  • @MegaTrainspotter you dumbass. 1) the bank would not lend him £200.000 unless he put up his house on risk and 2) he needs the dragons experience/connection

  • 01:52 was so Inception.

  • What a dumb invention, first off if its your boat you put your car keys in the cabin. Second, if you happen to lose something you better realize you lost it quick before you're searching the vast aquatic landscape for your expensive keys, and your potentially expensive waterboy that could be anywhere. Third, honestly how many people would actually buy this. The only reason I could imagine them buying into this product is for its technology, scrap the key-life jacket.

  • @Nahkranoth8 LOL? I've been on boats numerous times and keys are often carried on you, not simply left in the cabin. Oh and I own a waterbuoy, letting your keys/maybe even your phone slip out your pocket or drop out your hand into the water and sink would be horrible.

  • water sucks gatorades better

  • @iamtrash123 Water sucks.... Wow

  • Water sucks it really really sucks lol

  • I heard exactly what they said...do you have any idea how much it would cost to produce that piece of crap on a larger scale? I am not going to eplain it any further, if you are a smart guy, you'll figure it out on your own...seriously think about it man.

  • @anthmar35 are you fucking dumb? This product is excellent and could save lives, it is an ethical product with huge sales potential you fucking ignorant moron! You are seem to think you know all about business, but I run a business and I can tell you that you are embarassingly thick

  • @relarerfhjk yawn.

  • @relarerfhjk Ummmm there are products that already exist that can keep items afloat.

  • @anthmar35 Rubbish this is an excellent innovation with great potential, marketing techniques could make this a big-hitter

    Get a clue

  • @relarerfhjk marketing efforts against what? A key chain or are you referring to whatever other product they may develop out of it?? Because right now, all they have is a key chain....Look at the packagin, it's a key chain.

  • @anthmar35 Its not just a key chain its an innovative idea to save lives

  • @relarerfhjk ok, take it easy. I am open minded. I wish this kid success...perhaps I can be proven wrong...we'll see where this thing goes.

  • genius

  • I love how they ask for your estimated projections. No other dragons den show does that really as a concerning factor.

I can go with a product and say: "I predict we will get 1.8 million first year, 7.6 million second year, and 19 million third year"

It should be "what are your sales today and whats your market?"

  • @Marrowni it was strange, he did not quantify his numbers just kind of threw them out in the air without explaining what he was basing the sales on?

  • @anthmar35 It was a projection.

  • the boatin industry has sufferred so much in the past few years...less and less people are owning boats and more boat owners are trying to unload their boats on others as they are just to expensive to keep. This technology is a joke. Their are other more viable products on the market...not sure why these guys are so impressed...in particular with no sales...it is a fucken key chain for Christs sake!

  • @anthmar35 OMG dude did u not here what he said?

The dragons didn't infest because of a "fucken key chain" as u call it, they did it because if the product becomes a high seller then they can go further in that industry than just "fucken key chains"

  • @bubibutz Yawn.

  • @anthmar35 stop boring us all with your "knowledge" your an ignoramus

  • not every one has a boat. + there not reusable by far going to be a fail, I can go buy a sponge one.

  • you have a strong baloon, a fancy flashing light that would probably flash about 15 minutes and your keys floating away faster than you can decide to just replace your keys. Quite an unstable plan but it might have a future.

  • Replacing a bunch of locks because you lost your keys is very very costly. I spent over 400$ doing that once.

  • yeh replacing locks is way too expensive. but replacing keys with spare keys is easier. Specialy if requesting a spare key is cheap.

  • At 4:00

I think they have that (and have had that for about 100 years)

    Its called a life preserver.

    And a buoy.

    Its a useless product.

  • agreed.

  • Why do they ask for so much money? 2 million pound figure for his company is like $3.45 million dollars CDN.

No one ever asks that much on Dragons Den (Canadian)

    Wow, Greedy

  • Hello, just a comment, the sea is deeper than a tank, what would happen with the 1 Kg weight or even some loaded keyholders if they inflate at a depth of 10 m under the sea?

  • Buy 2 of them?.....how many ppl have more than 1kg on a keychain lol

  • did you see how hard the guy had to squeeze the baloon? im willing to wager he was putting down more pressure than 10m of water, and it wasn't even pressure like water pressure is either.

  • What hapened to the foam ones you get when you purchase a boat or a seadoo, I got one with my seadoo haha works just as well, and doesn't sink to the bottom before going off...

  • those are less visible at day and night, they also hold less.

  • and they take up more space in your pocket.

  • erm so lets say you had the water buoy in your on your keys in your pocket..... could it possibly EXPLODE your balls of?

  • why do these idiots always ask for 10% of the business when the dragons aren't mongos! they'll always ask for at least 20

  • That is called bargaining my friend.

  • Well if he offered 25% of the business the Dragons would ask for more wouldn't they? So who's the idiot?

  • I'd like half a million pounds for 2.5% of my company - Urin-halls. Focussing on the 3 P's - Portable, Public, Pissing!

  • because if they ask for 20 the dragons will want 40.

  • Cool. Question answered. Thanks bud.

  • I like how you cut the original footage they had on t.v. because the on t.v your baloon didn't go off for thirty seconds.

  • if i see it in the store im going to buy it.

  • he is clever he advertised his product through dragons den where i believed that he had decided to go by his own all the time. great potential and great spirit and good idea in reducing marketing cost

  • just checked the his website, he turned down the dragons offer after the show and cecided to go it alone, bold move but it seems like he is doing well with his new kids toy ballon thingy, best of luck to him.

  • i got one for my daughter FANTASTIC

  • good product

  • i look forward to there future inventions on this product..its really actually amazing.

  • I would buy it :\

  • i must admit this is a very good idea!

  • The WaterBuoy guy sounds like a text-2-speech program.

  • Old James didn like that one!

  • Wait, when did two dragons walk away from the deal?

No one said I'm out before 5:50... How have two walked away?

  • This has been cut shorter than it actually is, they said they were out earlier.

  • James Caan looked pissed off.

  • This is nice, but now I will need to add that thing to my keyring... mmm... well anyway I would buy it.

  • LOL IT DID'T REALLY LIFT THE 1KG

  • and that is why your a loser

  • hence proved you're still a loser...what a low life.

  • hahaah we'll call you Napster

  • Comment removed

  • yeah if your blind lol

  • Good idea;i have dropped keys down drains before getting out of the car. what would concern me is life of the balloon in salt water enviroment(naught worse than false security)Condoms have a shelf life, does this?(Rubber does perish..)

  • a 1kg object can sink quite quickly and can reach a large depth in 10 seconds. Ide want to make sure that it can rise from a depth of 10meters and not 40cm as seen in this demonstration. (as well as tides etc) .but yes he got a good deal because as soon as he said "lifejacket" and "patent" their eyes popped out of their heads. Life jackts are law and thus alot of money in that industry. more than floating keys.

  • True enough and insurance companies may insist on it as a back door buisness.

  • um this guy isn't the most successful out of the dragon's den, levi roots is-that guy is worth 50 million

  • just to let you no where im at

    im out

  • Are you married?... aye

Does your wife like watching stuff?... aye

  • £9.99 from Blacks gives me peace of mind if I accidently drop my waterproof camera in the water as the camera dose not float. £10 to same a £200 camera is well worth it for me.

  • he came into our school because were doing our own version of dragons den.

    nice guy

  • this guy ended up turning the dragons down after this show and now stands to me a multi-multi millionaire, by far the most successful thats been on dragons den, i think he has changed his invention slightly aswel, look on his website

  • I would buy it if it looked nice (as an accessory) and costed no more than 7 pounds. As someone already pointed out, you can only use it once!!! very good point!

  • u can only use it once thats shit

  • You can only use a pint of beer once.

  • no my friend its a comsumable and there is lots of money in consumables

  • i'm out

  • The commentator has wonky eyes.

  • Lol i know i have no idea wtf hes doing on this show, never even heard of him.

  • It's because he's reading off a card. That's what makes me hate him.

  • I wonder if i could attatch one to my poo then instead of being dissapointed at not seeing that big poo, it would just float to the surface

  • interesting product but would you buy one?

  • I don't own a boat, I don't go boating/sailing and I live in a city. Ergo, no.

It's great for fishers, I think.

  • Useful if you ever dropped your car keys down a drain cover though?

  • If I am the kind of person that lives by the sea or somewhat, otherwise no.

  • too expensive though gotta pay over 15 quid for it damn looking good otherwise

  • As if Deborah Meaden will look on this video and read your comment, dumbass. As much as I agree with your comment it is unnecessary.

  • Hey, Meaden, do you ever fucking buy anything? Perhaos you should go to Ocean Finance, they will lend you a few quicd...

Just look at her shaking head at 5.32.

  • the only problem would be if it was at night time should have flashing lights and alarm sounds

  • thats not a problem thats an upgrade. No other product has a light and a alarm so its not a problem

  • its a good product,

  • Has it sunk are is still floating!!!!????

  • its going good, i just read an article about it

  • Wonder how the business is going now???

  • Why does Theo always think it nesseccary to break the products? If you put enough force into anything, it's probably gonna break. Hit a mirror with a hammer, it breaks.

  • because theo pathetic thinks he is the smartest bloke on the planet, he's such a twat. James Kahn and Good ol Duncan are the only ones with any credibility, the others just gob off about how clever they are, there is more to life than just being greedy.

  • He does it for the lulz.

  • Basically its a test of reliabilty and to see if the prduct is actaully useful. Also he doesn't want to lose money throw compensation claims

  • He is a potential investor of £200,000

  • I have to admit I dont do a lot of fishing or going out to sea but I would have thought that the time it takes to clip one of them onto your keys or whatever you could spend putting them somewhere where your not going to toss them overboard

  • Just been to your site and brought one.

I do a lots of fishing, out at sea in my small VETA 60 boat, built in the early 80's. I love fishing and over the years have droped things into the waters, like my tourch, my flair-gun, water-proof cammra and never seen them again. Will let you all know how the device works out.

  • Um am I missing something here, the product works, its useful for ppl at sea, near rivers or even swimming pool..and so on. So why are ppl slagging it off, seems like pure ignorance. Obviously ppl who have no concept of inovation/development and design, thats education.....I blame the parents lol.

  • 25% sounds like a great deal compared to what they offered in the past

  • You should see what the Canadian Dragons offer in their deals. 50% is the norm on the canadian one XD.

I would buy one of those. How many times I have lost stuff in swimming pools and water.

  • Its impossible to loose things in swimming pools i think. Just dive down and get them back. The sea on the other hand, has no sides, so looseing them here is easy, yes ?

  • Ok, purely professional comments:

I love the idea. I'm not quite as impressed with the due-diligence done. I see the potential for this technology and the main value in the business lies in what it could accomplish, which down the road. I alone would not have invested. Here's why, my lack of influence in this particular sector would increase my risk and prompt a higher equity count to offset it. With partners, I would definately consider for 25% as well. Well done, good decision. I felt for J

  • i want one of these man wtf

  • Hello!

  • peter jones u r a prick

  • stop trying to be funny

  • I'm interested in how you can use this technology in other products, like on a larger scale, or in safety vests, seems to me though that there is already a life vest that inflates in water if the person is knocked out.

  • yes there is a life jacket that inflates and keeps your head up so you dont drown but it is a completely different mechanism

  • muhfuckas are playing bluff games.

  • Lol what, if your Precius Ferrari f50 key's were on the end of that bouy... then you may beg to differ.

  • thats a fantastic idea.

only thing is are you willing to jump over-board to get it, OR dont you think the current of the waves could carry it away..?

  • perfect pitch...would you agree?

  • Really good pitch. Defo the right attitude. Dont know if i like Theo's way of doing business though, he is incredibly harsh and complaicent.

  • I think it was a pretty good pitch and a good idea too, Id be willing to invest if it was me.

  • how many people own boats not many i think the dragons have been a bit stupid here

  • don't ya think that the presenter looks like golem from lord of the rings

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLL

  • yeah looks good but i'd like to know wot percentage fail to inflate?

  • thats nothing new.. seen same kind of product 3years ago

  • my only problem with this is that it's a one time use item. You drop it in the drink once, and that's it..then what? do I have to buy another? Are there refill kits?

  • I think you get more to a pace, and also, i dont think it would be too expensive.

  • Actually, that's the beauty behind this product. Because you think you'll have to buy one or two extra devices for your fishing trip, for example. It's really easy money. And what you said about refill kits isn't a bad idea at all. They have probably made them already for all I know. Well, it's been almost a year.

  • its a nice idea

  • hey i jst want to say that ive met him he came to my scout unit one week and it sounds like a really good product!!

  • i think dis geeza is da best so far!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope he does well. Good pitch and a practical invention!

  • No No No im afraid all you need is a cork or somthing like that and it will keep it afloat and will not go underwater so im out

  • lol

  • win-win-win

  • great idea

    intresting

  • Great idea. But what if my keys get wet in the rain??

  • what does that have to do with anything?

  • Ummmm, it could activate the mechanism!!! Duh!

  • The mechanism might not be activated when wet. It could be pressure-sensitive.

  • so how will it be if hiking up to high mountains XD

  • Dont leave one in your pocket and go swimming. You might squash your pearls.

  • LMAO!!!

  • I disagree with you pomlett. Think - a Sunny day out on the ocean, you're wearing board shorts with wide/big pockets. Fairly easy for something to fall out, if it's overboard or just on deck. Even in small scale I think it has a good market.

  • I miss Richard:(

  • did he die?
