i wammy mine to hell, untill the strings are spagetti and it just jumps back into tune, never had a problem, i was at a mates and wammyed his 600 quid jackson (whereas i got my rg370dx for 155) and his went so far out of tune i nearly cried, i think his fancy emgs are nothing compared to the edge iii !

You have to have the trem at the right hight, i set mine up myself saved 40 quid, just read the guides on it, also depending on how u got ur guitar there may be less or more springs needed. the guage of ur strings means u should have different numbers of spring to cancell the tension out. with 9 guage 3 springs is best, i mean, i only been playing guitar for 1 month and i set mine up perfectly just by reading instructions, the edge iii is epic once its set up.

Well,i have the same guitar but doesn't satys in tune...someone told me that its the mastil,the bar of inside its fucked...maybe its that...anyway,i'll comment again if i fixed it...!

Does anyone eles have any comments on the string action from the 12 fret onwards? My one just seems to be a tad close to the frets, even though ive had it set up by a pro. Im not sure if its because the floating trem causes this. Any advise?

I just got this guitar for x-mas and I have been having the same problem. I also find myself tuning it often while I'm playing. I changed the strings and do not use the tremolo so I am baffled..

@grey03mach1 : man you need to make a complete setup of your guitar...my brother did it for me and since then everything is ok...you can ask any music shop to do it ^^

I took it to get set-up on Sat. Should be ready today. fingers crossed

Guitar stays in tune much better since I added an extra spring to the back of the tremolo. Had the guitar professionally set-up, action lowered a bit and changed the strings. Guitar is much better now and stays in tune most of the time.

this might be because your setup and string gauge don't match i use d'adario 9s and it holds tune well

@grey03mach1 well is the bridge level on the guitar. and most importantly did you stretch the strings. because if you didnt you would be tuning all the time on any guitar if you didnt stretch the strings.

Nice mates, tell me I've got a LTD Mh250 FR the sounds and stuffs are good but the problems is the weights, she weights like more than 6Kg according to me (9 Kg from a websites) and it sucks for standing ups playings..Anyways I'd like to buy a new ones, a Ibanez RG370DX cause i've heard she's a good guitars for metals plays, but I want to know if she is heavy or not, if you have a idea about the weights let me know about it. Thanks

i have the same one. some complain about the cheap edge III tremolo but i have no problems with this model. i do have to say i dont like the pickups. they dont have the power to play decent metal. the pickups of my other guitar (ibanez gax limited edition) are better then this one!! its not a set up problem cause i've tried everything to adjust it properly. but choices are limited when you are lefthanded and dont want to spend to much money...

in this pricerange i would have to say my overall judgement for this guitar is a 8,5. Its indeed a good guitar. altho, i think its not suited to play all kinds of music, cause of the selected pickups. Sure, its fine for metallica, some other metal-like music and rock. But you can't get a really warm sound when your playing softer genres.

I think the best thing to do is to try both of them and then to choose what is the best for you...I mean the LTD ESP LTD M-100FM or ESP LTD KH-602 BK can fit.

its map finishing.. it will sound slightly warmer not like the one in this vid it sounds slightly brighter and the map finishing will get some black spots if you sweat much. i just bought the one in the vid two days ago

Mmm,its not bad for blues and jazz but i would recommend it more for hard rock and metal. Clean sound in positions 2 and 4 is very bad. In other positions is very nice,you can even fix clean to be better in 2 and 4 positions,but i haven't done that yet.

I'm seriously considering buying this guitar. I'm currently playing a Fender Mexi Strat. I want something with a locking trem though. Release my inner Steve Vai/Eddie Van Halen and all that. However, I want this in the red and black model. So far I've only seen the DXL in standard jet black. Do I have to have the Red and Black model ordered special, and therefore for a special price?
